We will always believe in Syedna

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Do you have any idea what you are doing by writing against Syedna(TUS)!!!!????? We and all Munineen have always believed, believe and will always believe everything and anything our Syedna tells us without any doubt or question. Whatever you say will not make a difference. There were many people before you that were against Daais and all of them suffered miserably on Earth and hereafter. If you are one of these people, the same thing is going to happen to you.

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:

We will always believe in Syedna

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Comment: We and all Munineen have always believed, believe and will always believe everything and anything our Syedna tells us without any doubt or question. Whatever you say will not make a difference.

Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!!! Brother, what you have said about believing everything and anything without any doubts or questions in your Syedna, always, at present and in the future, is exactly what the disbelievers said when they were invited to the Truth. Allah relates their various stories in the Holy Quran, and Subhan Allah, the reply they gave is so similar to the one you have just given: ‘Our fathers, our forefathers, etc. have always believed in the Syedna, therefore, we will always believe in them, no matter, whether they are preaching from the Quran or not!’ Subhan Allah, one would think that after all the education and intelligence which this world claims to have acquired, the mentality when it comes to religion, is exactly the same as the pagans and disbelievers thousands of years ago! Glory be to Allah Subhanah, the All Wise, All Knowing!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 170-171: When it is said to them, “Follow the Commands that Allah has sent down”, they reply, “We will follow only what we found our forefathers practicing.” Well, will they go on following their forefathers even though they did not use common sense and did not find the Right Way! The mental condition of those who rejected the way of Allah may be likened to that of the cattle whom the shepherd calls but they nothing except the sound of shouts and cries. They are deaf, they are dumb, they are blind; therefore they do not understand anything.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verse 52-54: Recall to mind the occasion when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “What are these images to which you are so devoted?” They replied, “We found our forefathers worshipping them.” Ibrahim said, “You have gone astray and so had your forefathers manifestly deviated from the Right Way.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 21: And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they say, “We shall only follow that upon which we found our forefathers.” What! Will they still be following them even if Shaitaan had been calling them to the raging Fire?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah Saba verse 43: When Our clear Revelations are recited to these people, they say, “This person only wants to turn you away from those deities whom your forefathers have been worshipping.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 26 Surah Shuaraa verse 69-82: And tell them the story of Ibrahim, when he asked his father and his people: “What are these things that you worship?” They answered, “These are idols which we worship and we serve them devotedly.” Ibrahim asked, “Do they hear you when you call on them? Or do they bring any good or harm to you?” They replied, “No, but we have found our elders doing the same.” At this, Ibrahim said, “Have you ever seen with open eyes the things which you and your elders have been worshipping? They are all enemies to me, except the One Lord of the Worlds, Who created me, then He it is Who guides me, Who gives me food and drink, and Who gives me health when I am ill, Who will cause me to die and then will me life again, and of Whom I expect that He will forgive me my errors on the Day of Judgment.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verse 22-25: Nay! But they say, “We found our forefathers on a way and we are only walking in their footsteps.” Even so, whenever before you We sent a warner to a habitation, its people of means said, “We have found our forefathers on a way and we are only following in their footsteps.” Every Prophet asked them, “Will you still go on following the same old way even if I guide you to a more right way than that you found your forefathers following?” They replied, “We disbelieve the religion with which you have been sent.” Consequently, We took vengeance on them. Just consider what was the end of those who denied.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Al Aaraf verse172-173: This We did lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “We were unaware of this thing.” Or lest you should say, “Our forefathers started the practice of ‘shirk’ before us and we were born after them to their descendants. Do You, then, punish us for the sin that was committed by the wrong-doers?” Behold, this is how We make Our Signs clear, so that these people may return to Us.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 23-24: O believers, do not take your fathers and your brothers as allies, if they choose disbelief in preference to Faith. For whoever of you will take them as allies shall surely be the workers of iniquity. O Prophet, tell them plainly, “If your fathers and your sons, and your brothers and your wives, and your near and dear ones, and the wealth which you have acquired, and the trade you fear may decline and the home which delight you: if all these things are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and the struggle in His Way, then wait till Allah passes His Judgement on you. For Allah does not guide the wicked people.”

The truth is brother that although the Bohras do not claim that the Syedna is their god, they do worship him! They call on the Syedna when they are in need! They invoke him when they are in distress! They thank him when something good happens to them! They call on him when some calamity happens to them! They think everything they have, their health, their wealth, their children are because of his ‘barakaats’! They stand with their hands folded (like the hindus do to their idols) in his presence! They bow down in ‘rukooh’ to him in ‘tasleem’! They bow in prostration (sajdah) to him! They kiss his feet! They kiss his shoes! They kiss the ground he walks on! Whatever he says ‘haraam’ is haraam! And whatever he says ‘halaal’ is ‘halaal’! Then when he dies, they will make a tomb over his grave and start the process of ‘urs’ and ‘minnat’ and ‘chaadars’ and ‘niyaaz’ … and will again bow down in prostration (sajdah) in grave worship!

What is this other than worship?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 31: They have made their scholars and their monks as their “Rabbs” besides Allah!

It is reported in an authentic narration that Hadrat Adi bin Hatim Tai (r.a.), who was a convert to Islam from Christianity, came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and when he heard the above verse of the Holy Quran, “They have made their scholars and their monks as their “Rabbs” besides Allah!”, said, “O Messenger of Allah (saws), we never worshipped our scholars and our monks in Christianity.” The Messenger of Allah (saws) asked him, “Do you not consider ‘haraam’ what they say ‘haraam’, and ‘halaal’ what they say ‘halaal’?” Hadrat Adi bin Hatim (r.a.) said, ‘yes’. The Messenger of Allah (saws) then declared, “What is this, other than worshipping them!!”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 71-72: They worship besides Allah those for whom Allah has sent down NO AUTHORITY! Nor they themselves have any knowledge about them. Such transgressors have no helper! And when our CLEAR REVELATIONS are recited to them, you perceive signs of disdain on the faces of the disbelievers, as though they were going to ASSUALT those who recite our Revelations to them!

Worshipping or invoking anything with Allah is what is termed ‘shirk’ in the Holy Quran. There is no bigger sin in Islam, than giving what is due to Allah Alone, to somebody else along with Allah. The Bohras do worship Allah, but also invoke other beings, living as well as dead in their graves. Having invoked Allah along with another name is like not having worshipped Him at all! Allah Alone is our Creator, our Provider, and Our Sustainer. Thus it is His Right Alone that we worship Him Alone, invoke Him Alone, call on Him Alone, ask on Him Alone for everything, and thank Him Alone for everything! He has absolutely no partners in His Kingdom! No one has any influence on Him! No one can change his Decision! No one can influence His Decision! No one can hear our prayers, except Him! No one can answer our prayers, except Him! No one can give, without His Permission! No one can take, without His Permission! He is the One who gave us life, He is the One who will give us death, He is the One who will give us life again on the Day of Judgement, and He is the One who will take a full account of our lives in His Court, Alone! Religion is His Sole Right, and He Alone deserves our awe, our reverence, our fear, our unconditional love, our sacrifice, our invocation and our worship! Giving even an atom of the Rights which belong to Allah exclusively, to anybody else, is exactly what has been termed ‘shirk’ in the Holy Quran. And this is the sin, Allah has promised Himself never to forgive! Allah has made Hell the everlasting abode of anyone who gives even an atom of his Right to anybody else!

Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48: Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72: Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (invoking anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 65-66: If you commit ‘shirk’ all your works will be rendered vain and you will be among the losers. Therefore, you should worship Allah Alone, and be among His grateful servants.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 67: These people (who commit shirk) have not recognized the true worth of Allah, as His worth should truly be recognized. (As for His Omnipotence) the entire earth on the Day of Resurrection shall be in His grasp and the heavens shall be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He and Exalted above the ‘shirk’ that these people commit.

And the main reason people commit ‘shirk’ is because they are made to believe by these self-proclaimed holy men that they will be their intercessor (shofa’a) in front of Allah on the Day of Judgement! These people have lied! No one has the power to influence any of Allah’s Decisions! These people do not have the power to fulfill their promises! Only the Promises Allah makes in the Holy Quran will come true … He has the Power to make these Promises, and He Alone has the Power to fulfill these promises!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa verse 122: The promise of Allah is true, and who can be truer in his word than Allah?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 94: (And Allah will say), “So, you have come before Us all alone, as We created you at first. Now, you have left behind all that We gave you in the world. Now We do not see with you those ‘shufa’a’(intercessors), who, you believed, had a share in moulding your destinies! All the relations between you and them have been cut off, and all those, in whom you trusted, have left you in the lurch.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 48: And guard yourselves against the Day when no one shall avail anyone else; nor shall ‘shafa’a’ (intercession) be accepted from anyone; nor shall anyone be acquitted for any amount of ransom; nor shall the guilty ones be helped from any quarter.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verse 18: These people worship beside Allah those which can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors) with Allah!” O Mohammed, tell them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows to be neither in the heavens nor in the earth?” He is absolutely free from, and exalted above the shirk that they commit.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 18: O Prophet, warn them of the Day that has approached near, when the hearts will leap up to the throats and the people will be standing mute, grief-stricken; and the wrong-doers will neither have any kindly friend nor any ‘shafaa’ (intercessor) who may be listened to.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Ha Meem Sajdah verse 47-48: Then on the Day when Allah will call out to the people asking, “Where are those associates of Mine?” They will say, “We have submitted: there is none of us to bear witness to that.” At that time, all those deities whom they used to invoke before this, shall be lost to them, and they will realize that they have no refuge.

The person whom you love so dearly and believe blindly whatever he says without referring to the Holy Quran, will become your staunch enemy on the Day of Judgment! When the reality of Allah’s Powers are in front of you, and the false promises of the beings you invoked and worshipped with Allah are thrown on their faces, and when Hell is brought within sight, you will know in Truth who was Rightly Guided and who indeed was Astray! On that Day, you will curse the ones you invoked with Allah, and beg Allah to give them the severest punishment!!!!! There will be nothing but regrets and dismay on that Day for the ones who invoked others with Allah!!!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzab verse 66-68: On the Day their faces are rolled about on the Fire, they will say, “Would that we had obeyed Allah and His Messenger!” And they will say, “O our Lord, we obeyed our CHIEFS and our GREAT MEN, and they led us astray from the Right Path. O our Lord, give them a double chastisement and curse them severely”.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 47-48: Then imagine the time when these people will be disputing with one another in Hell. The weak ones will say to the haughty ones, “We were your followers! Now, can you save us from some part of our punishment in Hell?” The haughty ones will say, “We are all in the same state here, and Allah has already passed judgment between His servants.”

My beloved brother, our only duty as your brother in Faith is to make you aware and invite you to follow what Allah has sent down in the Holy Quran. The choice is yours… follow what Allah has Revealed, or follow what your forefathers followed!

The mental condition of those who rejected the way of Allah may be likened to that of the cattle whom the shepherd calls but they hear nothing except the sound of shouts and cries. They are deaf, they are dumb, they are blind; therefore they do not understand anything.

Your Comment: Do you have any idea what you are doing by writing against Syedna(TUS)!!!!????? There were many people before you that were against Daais and all of them suffered miserably on Earth and hereafter. If you are one of these people, the same thing is going to happen to you.

You are trying to scare us from the consequences of not invoking and worshipping a human being? And you are not scared of associating a partner with Allah? The human being that you are invoking is himself trying to beg forgiveness from My Lord, Allah Subhanah! Now you tell me, who has more Right that he should be feared? Fear Allah and His Punishment, or fear some slave of Allah, who himself should be in constant awe of Allah?

Allah is our witness, we fear not the men and their consequences you threaten us with, but rather we fear the displeasure of our Lord and Creator, Allah Subhanah, and the thought that we will have an accounting on that One Inevitable Day when He shall gather all mankind together. And we have put our trust in Allah Alone, the Lord of the Worlds!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 81-82: And there is no reason why I should fear those whom you have made partners with Allah, when you are not afraid of setting up those things as partners with Allah, for which He has sent down No Authority to you! Then tell me, if you have any knowledge: Which of the two parties merits peace and freedom from fear? As a matter of fact, only those who have believed, and not polluted their Faith with ‘shirk’, have peace and are Rightly Guided.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 175: It is Shaitaan who is frightening the people with the fear of his ‘awliyaa’. Therefore, in future, do not fear them, but fear Me (Allah), if you are indeed true Believers!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verses160: If Allah helps you, none can overcome you! And if Allah forsakes you, who is there, then, after Allah that can help you? Therefore, the true believers should trust in Allah Alone.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 38: If indeed you (O Prophet) asked them, “Who is it that created the earth?”, they would surely say, “Allah”. Say, “See you then? The things that you invoke besides Allah, can they, if Allah wills some penalty for me, remove His penalty? Or if Allah wills some mercy for me, can they keep back his mercy?” Say: “Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Isra (Bani Israel) verses 56-57: (O Prophet) say, “You may call for help those, besides Allah, whom you fancy. They have neither the power to remove your troubles from you, nor change them!” In fact, those beings whom these people call for help themselves seek the means of approach to Allah, and vie with one another to be nearer to Him, and hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath. The fact is that the Wrath of your Lord is a thing to be dreaded!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 36 Surah Yaa Seen verses 74-75: Yet, they have set up others besides Allah, hoping that they would be helped! They (those invoked) do not have the power to help them, yet these people stand as an ever ready troop at their service!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse73: O mankind! A parable is related to you, so listen to it! Those on whom you call besides Allah, cannot create a fly, even though they may all combine together for this purpose! Nay! If a fly snatches away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly! How weak are the those who petition, and how weak are those to whom they supplicate!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraf verses 197: Those whom you call besides Allah, cannot help you, nor can they help themselves.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah Saba verses 22: (O Prophet) say, “Call on those whom you invoke as deities besides Allah. They neither own an atom’s weight of anything in the heavens, nor in the earth. Nor have they anything to share in either, nor is any of them a helper of Allah”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 13: Then, instead of Allah, he invokes those who can do him neither harm nor good. This is the last extremity of deviation. He invokes those who are more likely to do him harm, than good! What an evil ‘maula’ he chooses, and what an evil companion.

My beloved brother, read the Quran once with understanding, and then see for yourself who has a bigger right to be feared? The Holy Quran are the very words of Allah Subhanah, and He in His Sublime Mercy has sent us this warning, but we have invented our own names as our supporters and helpers! The Promises Allah makes in the Glorious Quran will ALL come true… and all the promises made by man will disappear! We urge you to read the Quran with understanding and see for yourself, who is Rightly Guided and who is Astray…. And if you don’t do that, fear that Day, when you will be standing alone in the Court of Allah. And when all the false promises made by your self-appointed ‘auliyaas’ disappear, you will have nothing but regrets and dismay, and an everlasting abode of the torture of the blazing Fire of Hell!! And the ones who commit ‘shirk’, Allah has promised in the Holy Quran, that He will never ever take them out of the Fire of Hell!!! May Allah protect us and save us from that terrible abode called Hell….!!

May Allah guide you and us all to read and understand the Holy Quran! May Allah guide you and us to the Siraat al Mustaqeem. May Allah have mercy on the Ummah of Islam, and bring them back to the clear and simple guidance and teachings of the Glorious Quran. Ameen.

May Allah guide you and us to read and understand the simple and plain words of the Glorious Quran. May Allah increase our knowledge from the Holy Quran. May Allah guide us to the Siraat al Mustaqeem.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
