Answer:

Prophets mentioned by name in Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: …..how many prophets names are there in Quraan and in which suraah and every prophets name came how many times?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Gafir verse 78:

O Prophet, We have sent many a Messenger before you. Of them there are some whose stories We have related to you, and of others We have not related.

The truth is that Allah Subhanah Alone knows exactly where and how many Prophets He has sent on the earth for the guidance of mankind (one hadith states the number in excess of 124,000) before He sent His Last and Final Messenger, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws), with the One Universal Message for all of mankind. The Prophets whose name finds mention in the Glorious Quran are twenty-six:

  1. Prophet Adam (a.s.)
  2. Prophet Idris (a.s.)
  3. Prophet Noah (a.s.)
  4. Prophet Hud (a.s.)
  5. Prophet Salih (a.s.)
  6. Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.)
  7. Prophet Lut (a.s.)
  8. Prophet Ismail (a.s.)
  9. Prophet Ishaaq (a.s.)
  10. Prophet Yaqoob (a.s.)
  11. Prophet Yusuf (a.s.)
  12. Prophet Shoaib (a.s.)
  13. Prophet Musa (a.s.)
  14. Prophet Haroon (a.s.)
  15. Prophet Uzair (a.s.)
  16. Prophet Ilyaas (a.s.)
  17. Prophet Dawood (a.s.)
  18. Prophet Sulaiman (a.s.)
  19. Prophet Yunus (a.s.)
  20. Prophet Ayyub (a.s.)
  21. Prophet Dhul Kifl (a.s.)
  22. Prophet Yasa’a (a.s.)
  23. Prophet Zakariyya (a.s.)
  24. Prophet Yahya (a.s.)
  25. Prophet Isa (a.s.)
  26. Prophet Mohamed (saws).

Some incidents of Hadrat Dhul-Qarnain, Hadrat Khidr (not by name), and Hadrat Luqman are also mentioned in the Quran, but in the opinion of most scholars they were not amongst the Prophets sent by Allah Subhanah. Allah Alone Knows Best.

To determine how many times each Prophet’s name is mentioned in the Glorious Quran and in which Surahs their name is mentioned would indeed be a lengthy exercise…for Prophets like Hadrat Moosa (a.s.) alone is mentioned in excess of 70 times in the Quran, whereas Prophets like Prophet Khul-Kifl (a.s.) or Prophet Yasa’a (a.s.) are mentioned by name only once. If there are any particular specific Prophets whose presence of names you wish to enquire, it would be more feasibly if you posed a specific question to that effect, and if Allah Subhanah Wills and Helps us, we will strive to respond to your question, Insha Allah.

Your Question: ….in which language are the 4 books send by ALLAH on Prophets?

We assume that by the ‘4-Books’ you mean to enquire about the:

  1. The ‘Taurat’ (Torah) which was revealed unto Prophet Moses (a.s.) in the Hebrew language.
  2. The ‘Zuboor’ (Psalms) which was revealed unto Prophet Dawood (a.s.); in the opinion of most scholars the ‘Zuboor’ was most probably also in the Hebrew language, or a dialect of the Hebrew language.
  3. The ‘Injeel’ (Gospel) which was revealed unto Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.), which was in the Aramaic language.
  4. The ‘Quran’ which was revealed unto the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, Mohammed ar-Rasool Allah (saws) in the Arabic language.

Your Question: …..from which occupation did the prophets belongs to?

The known occupations of the various Prophets of Allah are as varied as being shepherds, to being a craftsman (Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.) was recorded as being a carpenter), to be a businessman (Prophet Mohamed (saws))….but the one occupation which was absolutely common to all the Prophets of Allah is that of being a shepherd at some time of their lives.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.618 Narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah

We were with Allah's Messenger (saws) picking the fruits of the 'Arak’ trees, and Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Pick the black fruit, for it is the best." The companions asked, "Were you a shepherd?" The Prophet (saws) replied, "There was no Prophet who was not a shepherd."

Your Question: …..name of Azwajhe mutahirat?

  1. Hadrat Khadijah binte Khuwailad (r.a.)
  2. Hadrat Saudah binte Zama (r.a.)
  3. Hadrat Aishah binte Abu Baqr (r.a.)
  4. Hadrat Hafsah binte Umar al-Khattab (r.a.)
  5. Hadrat Zainab binte Khuzaimah (r.a.)
  6. Hadrat Umme-Salamah (r.a.)
  7. Hadrat Zainab binte Jahsh (r.a.)
  8. Hadrat Jowariyyah binte Haris (r.a.)
  9. Hadrat Umme-Habibah binte Abi-Sufyan (r.a.).
  10. Hadrat Maimunah binte Haris (r.a.)
  11. Hadrat Safiyyah binte Hayye bin Akhtab (r.a.)

Your Question: ….names of Ashrah-e-mubashira?

Although the Prophet (saws) gave the glad tidings to many amongst his noble male and female companions that they will attain Paradise, ten amongst the men are specially mentioned and known as the ‘Ashara Mubasshereen’ (Ten who were given glad tidings). They are:

  1. Hadrat Abu Bakr As-Siiddiq (r.a.)
  2. Hadrat Umar ibn Khattab (r.a.)
  3. Hadrat Uthman ibn Affan (r.a.)
  4. Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.)
  5. Hadrat Talhah ibn Ubaydullah (r.a.)
  6. Hadrat Zubayr ibn Awwan (r.a.)
  7. Hadrat Saad ibn Abi Waqqas (r.a.)
  8. Hadrat Abu Ubaydah ibn Jarrah (r.a.)
  9. Hadrat Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Awf (r.a.)
  10. Hadrat Said ibn Zayd (r.a.)

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
