Answer:

Circumcision not done

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.777 Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Five practices are characteristics of the ‘Fitra’ (nature): shaving the pubic region, removing the hair under the arms, clipping the nails, and circumcision and cutting the moustaches short (for men)."

The circumcision of males, as stated by the Messenger of Allah (saws) is a characteristic of ‘fitrah’ or nature, and a Sunnah of not only Prophet Mohamed (saws) but also the Sunnah of the friend of Allah and the father of the Prophets, Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.). Circumcision is not compulsory or obligatory in Islam, but rather it is an extremely preferred Sunnah, and practiced by almost every muslim all over the world.

Beloved brother, circumcision is not an obligatory duty in Islam, but rather a Sunnah and thus optional. If one does so to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (saws), one will earn their due reward; and if for any reason one chooses not to do so, there is no sin.

Your Question: ….should i get it done now or it is fine.

In addition to being an absolutely preferred Sunnah, the act of circumcision is also determined by modern medical doctors as an extremely hygienic practice which saves man from many an infection and diseases. Thus brother, the decision is entirely upto you….if you wish you may get your circumcision performed, and if you wish, you may opt to remain uncircumcised.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
