He rides in a bus or taxi and cannot get the driver to turn off the haraam music

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
As-Salaamu-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
We are forced to listen to music whether in the bus that we take to work every day or in the buses and taxis that we need for travelling sometimes. What is the ruling?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

If you cannot stop the music in the bus and you need to travel on it because the distance is too great, and you do not have any other means of transportation, then there is no sin on you for that, but you should denounce the evil as much as you can, even if it is only in your heart.

And Allaah is the Source of strength. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). End quote.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
