Release of madhi from organ
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam
Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and
Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Assalamalaikum Wa Rahmath Ullah
Wa barakatahu,
I’m having a doubt that when I’m
praying Isha sunnah something comes from my organ, but I ignored it and
continue my prayer and then I had completed witr also.
After the complete Isha Prayers I
went to the toilet and seen a substance i.e. called MADHI. So, I want to know
that I have to again repeat my prayers or not.
And after this MADHI comes out shall we touch the book of DUA’s. Because
I have kept that book in my pocket which is in my office desk knowing that MADHI
is ejaculated, before getting clean.
Thanking You,
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:
Release of madhi
from organ
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Q-1: I’m having a doubt that when I’m praying Isha sunnah something
comes from my organ, but I ignored it and continue my prayer and then I had
completed witr also. After the complete Isha Prayers I went to the toilet and
seen a substance i.e. called MADHI. So, I want to know that I have to again
repeat my prayers or not.
The principle or
condition of action in Islam is that one’s action should always be based on
conviction, rather than doubt. Thus,
if you only had a doubt, then
one should not think about it; and
continue the prayer. But if one is
certain, then he should break his
prayer, wash the area of the body and
the clothes where his ‘madhi’ might have touched, perform the wudu again;
and then perform the prayer.
Same is the case when one is in prayer, and he doubts that he has ‘passed
wind’. The guidance of the Messenger
of Allah (saws) when encountered with such a doubt is that one should continue
his prayer; unless he is convinced that
he has indeed ‘passed wind’ when he actually hears or smells it.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.139 Narrated by Abbas bin Tamim
My uncle asked the Prophet (saws) about a
person who imagined to have passed wind during the prayer. The Messenger of
Allah (saws) replied: "He should not leave his prayers unless he hears
sound or smells something."
But in your particular
case, you saw that ‘madhi’ had been
actually released; thus, it would be better and purer for you to
repeat your prayer.
Q-2: And after this MADHI comes out
shall we touch the book of DUA’s.
It is preferable to be
in the state of ‘wudu’ and purity when one touches or reads the Holy
Quran. If one is convinced that
‘madhi’ has actually been released,
then he is in a state of impurity till he washes the part of the body
and clothes where the ‘madhi’ has touched.
If the Book of Duas has some aayahs of the Holy Quran in it, it would be better and purer for one to be
in a state of wudu and purity before touching it.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows
Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Islam,
Burhan
