Answer:

Bismillah before eating

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

It is an extremely preferred Sunnah and ‘wajib’ for the believers to declare ‘Bismillah’ before they eat or drink anything.

Al-Muwatta Hadith 49.32

Yahya related from Malik from Abu Nuaym that Wahb ibn Kaysan said, "The Messenger of Allah (saws) was brought food while his stepson Umar ibn Salama was with him. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said to him, 'Say "Bismillah," and eat what is in front of you.’"

If perchance one forgets to recite ‘Bismillah’ before one starts eating or drinking, and only remembers it during or at the end, one should recite ‘Bismillah awwalahu wa aakhir-ahu’ (In the Name of Allah at the beginning and at the end of it).

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 3759 Narrated by Umayyah ibn Makhshi

Umayyah was sitting and a man was eating. He did not mention Allah's Name until there remained the last morsel. When he raised it to his mouth, he said: ‘In the Name of Allah at the beginning and at the end of it.’ The Prophet (saws) smiled and said: ‘The Shaytaan kept eating along with him, but when he mentioned Allah's Name, he vomited what was in his belly!’

Respected sister in Islam, rest assured that as long as the animal itself is lawful in its essence and is duly slaughtered, there is absolutely no part of that animal which the believers are forbidden to consume.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
