Plz let me know of the history of Nabi`s or Messengers as mentioned in Quran. For information purposes can you tell me how much of the earth was under water at the time of Nooh nabi(Noah) & how did the water receed?

History of prophets and earth submerged in water

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your question: Plz let me know of the history of Nabi`s or Messengers as mentioned in Quran.

Beloved brother, if one were to write the history of all the Prophets as mentioned in the Quran, it would indeed require a volume of books! Thus, it would simply not be possible for us to explain the history of all the Prophets in this short article.

There are many books available in any Islamic Bookshop under the names of ‘Stories of the Prophets’ or ‘Stories of the Quran’ which would give the reader enough knowledge about the Prophets mentioned in the Quran and their historical background and data.

Your question: can you tell me how much of the earth was under water at the time of Nooh nabi(Noah)

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verses 25-26:

25 We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning:

"That ye serve none but Allah: verily I do fear for you the Penalty of a Grievous Day."

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 26 Surah Shuaraa verse 119-120:

119 So we delivered him (Noah) and those with him in the Ark.

120 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind.

The Quran is consistent with the discovery of modern archeologists that the flood that destroyed the disbelievers amongst Prophet Noah’s people was confined to the area where Prophet Noah was sent as a Messenger from Allah; the area in and around present Turkey and Iraq.

The Bible claims that the whole world was submerged in water in the flood of Prophet Noah’s time, but that is inconsistent with the Quran and also the studies of modern archeologists.

And Allah Alone Knows Best.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verse 44: When the word went forth: "O earth! Swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!"

Allah Subhanah Commanded the Sky to stop its pouring, and Commanded the Earth to swallow the water after His Decree of Punishment was carried out on the disbelieving people of Prophet Noah time.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
