One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Where is Allah? Whether he is above or everywhere or is he in the heart of each and every human being?

Answer:

Location where is Allah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 59 Surah Hashr verses 22-24:

22 Allah is He other than whom there is no other god, Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He Most Gracious Most Merciful.

23 Allah is He other than whom there is no other god, The Sovereign, The Holy One, The Source of Peace (and Perfection), The Guardian of Faith, The Preserver of Safety, The Exalted in Might, The Irresistible, The Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.

24 He is Allah, The Creator, The Evolver, The Bestower of Forms. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: Whatever is in the heavens and on earth doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is The Exalted in Might, The Wise.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 112 Surah Ikhlas Verse 1-4

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah is Independent of all, and all are dependent on Him. Neither has He any offspring, nor is He the offspring of anyone; and NONE is equal to Him in rank.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Ash-Shura verse 11:

There is absolutely nothing like Him (Allah) in the whole Universe!!!

Your Question: Where is Allah? Whether he is above or everywhere or is he in the heart of each and every human being? 

Allah Subhanah is the Lord, Master, Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher of everything in existence, and unlike the created, the Creator is not at all restricted by the physical dimensions of time and space.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 67:

67 No just estimate have they made of Allah such as is due to Him: on the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the partners they attribute to Him!

It is absolutely impossible to even imagine, leave alone determine the Glory, Magnificence, Splendor, and Grandeur of the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme!

To ask or imagine the physical location of Allah Subhanah is to put a mustard seed or something much more insignificant in one’s grip….and allow the mustard seed to determine the location of the one completely encompassing and sustaining it….whether it is above it, below it, on the right or on the left!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 50 Surah Qaf verse 16:

16 It was He (Allah) who created man and He Knows what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for He (Allah) is nearer to him than (their own) jugular vein!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186:

And if My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them that I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!

Allah Subhanah is omnipresent and everywhere in His Perfect and Absolute Knowledge. Everything, and we reiterate absolutely everything that happens in the Universe happens with His Precise Will and Permission; and not even does a leaf fall off a plant or a tree, but with His Permission and Knowledge! Nothing, absolutely nothing, is beyond the Knowledge and Control of The Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme Who Created!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 59:

59 With Him (Allah) are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none Knows but He. He Knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His Knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is (inscribed) in a Record Clear!

Thus in conclusion brother, to imagine or limit The Lord Most Majestic to a physical location would be to restrict the Magnificence and Splendor of the Lord Who is beyond restrictions, beyond limits, beyond imaginations! It should suffice for the believers to know and believe with absolute conviction that their Lord encompasses everything in His Perfect and Absolute Knowledge, and is nearer to oneself than one’s own jugular vein!

Such is Allah Subhanah, The Lord, Master, Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher of everything in existence!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
