May Allah bless your efforts in helping out people in understanding of Islam!

Whenever i give some one to read some verses from Quran Almost the maximum people excuse to even touch the Quran. Excusing that we are not with "Wazu". It is a very common problem practically experience by me! due to which i unable to make them read by themselves! Please tell me what should i say to them so that they would remain with no excuse in reading thier ownselves?

Quran and wudu

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Beloved brother in Islam, ‘wudu’ or ablution is a pre-condition only if one wishes to offer one’s prayer or make ‘tawaaf’ in the Sacred Mosque; but although it is highly recommended to be in the state of ‘wudu’, it is definitely not obligatory nor a pre-condition for reciting the Glorious Quran.

Your Question: Please tell me what should i say to them so that they would remain with no excuse in reading thier ownselves?

Beloved Brother, your duty is only limited to inviting the people to the Truth; to accept or reject your invitation to read the Quran is a choice the person makes of his own ‘free will’. If their excuse is that they are not in the state of ‘wudu’, you could guide them and tell them that although it is highly recommended, there is nothing in the Quran and the Sunnah which commands and makes it obligatory for the believers to be in the state of ‘wudu’ to recite the Glorious Book of Allah.

What is indeed necessary is that one is pure ‘taahir’ when one touches the Quran; if one is impure and has done anything which makes it obligatory for them to have the ‘ghusl’ or full bath of purity (post-sexual impurity, menses, etc.), then they should not touch the Quran; but there is absolutely no harm if they recite from memory or read the Holy Book without physically touching it.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 56 Surah Waqiah verse 77-79:

That this is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in a well-guarded Book, which none can touch, except the purified.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
