One of our friend said that rasool (SAW) listens to salaam directly
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Assalamualaikum,
One of our friend said that rasool (SAW) listens to salaam directly on Fridays.
I believe that the omnipresence quality of Allah cannot be atrributed to our
Prophet(SAW). He also said that there is a hadith confirming this. Can you throw
some light on this issue ?

Answer:
Pm replies salaam
salutations
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet
(saws), "Do not turn my grave into a site of festivities, but send
greetings to me for your greetings are raised to me wherever you might
be." (Related by Abu Daw'ud)
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws)
said, "When any Muslim sends greetings upon me, Allah returns my soul to
me so that I may respond to his greetings." (Related by Abu Dawud)
Beloved brother in Islam, first and foremost it is not
only on Fridays where the Prophet (saws) replies the salutations the believers
send upon him, but every single time a believer sends a salutation of peace and
blessings upon the Prophet (saws), the Lord Most High returns his soul back to
him so that he (saws) may respond to the salutations.
Secondly, you are absolutely correct and accurate in your
assertion that only the All-Knowing Lord Creator is Omnipresent everywhere with
His Perfect and Absolute Knowledge; and this Absolute Exclusive Attribute of
the Lord Most High cannot be shared with anyone in creation in the least. The Messenger of Allah (saws) himself does
not possess the power to accept or respond to the salutations directly; but in light
of the guidance of the authentic and established hadith quoted above, the Lord
Most High returns his soul to him so that he may respond to the salutations
made unto him by his followers.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
