Answer:
Pray with oil in
hair
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet (saws) as
saying, "Whoever has hair should honor it."
Related by Abu Dawud.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.245 Narrated by Aisha
The Prophet (saws) used to bend his head
(out) to me while he was in ‘Itikaf’ (seclusion) in the mosque during my
monthly periods, and I would comb and oil his hair.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.33 Narrated by Salman Al Farsi
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Anyone
who takes a bath on Friday and cleans himself as much as he can, and puts
oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer
and does not force his way between two persons (assembled in the mosque for the
Friday prayer), and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when
the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last
Friday will be forgiven."
In light of the above narrations of the Prophet (saws),
the Messenger of Allah (saws) would apply oil in his hair and encouraged the
believers to do so.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
