Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

on your right hand you are meant to read tasbeeh after namaz or whenever you want..on my right hand on the finger enxt to the little one i have four little `boxes` as you may call them..this ruins my tasbeeh count...and according to people ( and i believe this too) you are emant to have three so this way all yuor tasbeeh is counted properly..so why do ihave 4..it is not a mistake..my mum has it too but on her left hand and you do bot read tasbeeh on your left hand only your right so why do i have it..it is as big as the other `boxes` so i am not imagining it and it has been confirmed..no one has the answer..is there something wrong with me..it isn`t there by accident..it is there for a reason..could you tell me why it is there using quraanic eveidence...i know of nobody who has this and i do not consider myself as holy or specual to have it..pease help..it is bothering me..thankyou

Extra box in finger

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: is there something wrong with me..it isn`t there by accident..it is there for a reason..could you tell me why it is there using quraanic eveidence...

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah Fatir verse 1:

1        Praise be to Allah Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the Angels messengers with wings, two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to His Creation as He pleases: for Allah has Power over all things.

Dear and Beloved Sister in Islam, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, nor are the four boxes on your little finger an accident, nor does this additional box in one’s finger make one holy or unholy, etc.  The Truth is that Allah Subhanah Creates whatever He Wills and Pleases, He adds to His Creation whatever He Pleases, and He may subtract from His Creation as He Wills! 

To most He bestows sight in their eyes, but to some He may bestow sight in one eye alone, and to some He may bestow no sight at all! 

To most He bestows hearing in their ears, but to some He may bestow no hearing in one ear, and to some He may grant no hearing at all! 

To most He bestows all limbs, but to some He may take away a limb or two!  To most He bestows ten fingers and toes, but to some He may add or subtract as He Wills!  Allah Subhanah Creates Whatever He Wills and Pleases only as a test, both for those who have been given everything in perfection and balance, and also for those who have not been given everything in perfection and balance…..to see whether the ones bestowed with everything in balance are grateful for the favors of their Lord, and how they treat those who are not been given all their faculties by Allah Subhanah! 

Thus one’s addition/subtraction in one’s creation is nothing to do with one’s character or nature or wrong-doing or being holy or unholy…. It is the Lord Who Decrees and Creates whatever He Wills and Pleases to see what does man do in reactions and relation to His superb and varied creation! 

Your Question: pease help..it is bothering me..

Dear and Beloved Sister in Islam, please do not let the extra box in your finger bother you in the least, as it has absolutely nothing to do with your deeds, nature, character, virtue, or being holy or unholy!  It is no more than a test from your Lord upon you and the ones who come in contact with you. 

If anyone ridicules, laughs, or abuses you or conversely treats you as holy or special only because of the addition/subtraction in your creation…..fails to realize the reality of the matter, and takes upon himself a burden which he will have to repay back to you on the Day of Judgment in the Presence of the Lord Most High! 

Thus do not let this extra box in your finger bother you in the least, and know with conviction that your Lord Most Majestic creates Whatever He Wills and Pleases; He adds to His creation as He Wills, and He may subtract from His creation as He Wills!  He, and He Alone, indeed has Power over all things.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
