brother my questions are very pertubing, therefore instead of publishing them online just reply to me. thankyou.

just recently one of my muslim brother has told me something very strange, which has made me to seek help from you. according to him there are two things that were present even before Allah subhana wa ta`alah, which he claims of having evidence, these are:

1)    the throne of Allah.

2) the prototype of Qur`an kareem. please help me.

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:

There was something before Allah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 57 Surah Hadid verses 1-5:

1        Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

2        To Him belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth; it is He Who gives life and death; and He has Power over all things.

3        He is The First and The Last, The Evident and The Hidden: and He has full knowledge of all things.

4        He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority).  He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it.  And He is with you wheresoever ye may be.  And Allah sees well all that ye do.

5        To Him belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah.

Amongst the Absolutely Exclusive and Noble Attributes and Names of Allah Subhanah is that He is the ‘Al-Awwal’ or The Absolute First and there was absolutely nothing before Him; and He is the ‘Al-Aakhir’ or The Absolute Last and there is nothing after Him.  Truly Blessed and Glorified is Allah Subhanah, the Supreme Lord and Creator of the heavens and the earth and of absolutely everything, and I repeat, absolutely everything that exists in creation.

Your Question: according to him there are two things that were present even before Allah subhana wa ta`alah, which he claims of having evidence, these are:

1) the throne of Allah.

2) the prototype of Qur`an kareem.

Dear and Beloved Brother, absolutely everything, and I reiterate, absolutely and completely and without exception utterly everything in creation is created by none other than the Supreme Lord and Creator, Allah Subhanah, including His Magnificent Throne and His Glorious Quran!  He is The Absolute First, and there was absolutely nothing before Him; and He Alone is the Primal Originator and Creator of everything in creation.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) would supplicate: "O Allah, Lord of the heavens, the earth, and the Mighty Throne, our Lord and the Lord of everything, Who causes the seed to grow and the date-stone to split and sprout, Who sent down Taurah, Injil, and the Qur'an, I seek refuge in You from the evil of all evil-mongers under Your Control. You are the First and there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, and there is nothing after You. You are the Evident and there is nothing beyond You, and You are the Source and there is no power beside You.  Relieve us of our debt and poverty." This is reported by Bukhari.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.514         Narrated by Imran bin Hussain

While I was with the Prophet (saws), some people from Yemem came and asked about the beginning of the Universe. " The Prophet (saws) said "There was Allah and nothing else before Him, and (then He Created) His Throne over the water, and He then created the Heavens and the Earth and wrote everything in the Book."

Allah is our witness, if anyone claims that there was something before Allah, he has uttered nothing but a manifest blasphemy and a lie and will be held severely accountable for his unjust and abominated utterance in the Majestic Court of the Supreme Lord on an Inevitable Day!

It is absolutely illogical to assume that a throne peculiar of even a simple king of this world is created before the king, or the words of an individual are documented before the individual; so how is it even logically possible that the Magnificent Throne of Allah Subhanah, which is absolutely particular and specific to the Majesty of the Supreme Lord, be in creation before Him???  Or how is it even logically possible that the Wise Words of the Glorious Quran be in creation before the All-Wise Lord and Creator Himself???

Allah is our witness, everything, absolutely and totally everything in creation, without exception, is created by none other than the One and Only Lord Creator, Allah Subhanah wa Taala.  He is indeed the Absolute First and there was absolutely nothing before Him! 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 117:

117    To Him is due The Primal Origin of the Heavens and the Earth; when He Decrees a matter He (only) Says to it: "Be"; and it is!

If one trusts,  obeys,  and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes,  obeys and follows any other guidance,  other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws),  one can be assured of being led astray.  

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
