are being punished because of our ill doings by Allah. Is
it right? If we are not good muslims, but
at least we are. We pray to Allah and have full faith in His revealed book and
all his prophet(PBUH).Why are not the hindus being

Answer:
Why Allah does not help the Muslims?
In the
name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray,
none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no
person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 5.191 Narrated
by Khabbab
I came to the Prophet (saws) while he was leaning against his
sheet cloak in the shade of the Ka'ba. We were suffering greatly from the pagans in
those days (early Makkan period). I said (to him).
"Will you invoke Allah (to help us)?"
He (saws) sat down with a red face (was very angry at the question
asked) and said, "(A believer among) those who were before you used to be
combed with iron combs so that nothing of his flesh or nerves would remain on
his bones; yet that would never make him desert his religion. A saw might be put over the parting of his
head which would be split into two parts, yet all that would never make him
abandon his religion. Allah will surely complete this religion (i.e. Islam) so
that a traveler from
Beloved
brother in Islam, may Allah Subhanah reward you
generously for asking this very important question regarding the state of the
Muslim Ummah in these trying times. It is nothing but a sign of one’s ‘emaan’ and faith that he should be sincerely concerned at
the state of the Muslim Ummah, and try to figure out
why indeed are we in this abyss of humiliation today? Is it because, Allah forbid, our Lord has
forsaken us? Or, is it because we have
forsaken our Lord? Is it because of our
own shortcomings in our religion? Or, is
it because we have brought upon ourselves the Wrath and Anger of our Merciful
and Gracious Lord?
What
better place can there be than to turn to the Quran
and the Sunnah in search for the answers to these
all-important questions, which should be the foremost in every true believers’
minds.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 24 Surah Noor verses 55-56:
55 Allah has promised to those among you
who believe and work righteous deeds that He will of a surety grant them in
the land inheritance (of power) as He granted it to
those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion
(Al-Islam) the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their
state) after the fear in which they (lived) to one of security and peace: `They
will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.' If any do reject faith after this, they are
rebellious and wicked.
56 So establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity: and obey the
Messenger; that ye may receive mercy.
The
All-Mighty Lord has promised the believers, that if they sincerely believe and
do righteous good deeds, He will OF A SURETY grant them power in the
earth! If one looks at the history of
mankind in the 1400 years since the Revelation of the Quran,
the Muslims have ruled almost half of the known world for almost 1,100
years. It is only in the last 300+
years, that the muslims have
been subjugated and humiliated at the hands of the pagans.
Thus as
long as the muslims
sincerely held on to the Quran and the Sunnah, believed and did righteous works according to its
guidance; Allah Subhanah fulfilled His Promise to
grant the Muslims power on the earth. It
is only when we left our adherence to the guidance of the Quran
and the Sunnah, and started loving the worldly life
more than the Hereafter, did we get subjected to this condition that we find
ourselves in today!
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4284 Narrated
by Thawban
The Prophet (saws) said: “(There will come a time when) The people will soon summon one another to attack you (O
Muslims), as people when eating invite others to share their dish!” Someone asked: “Will that be because of our
small numbers at that time?” He (saws)
replied: “No! You will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and
rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take out the fear
of you from the breasts of your enemy, and part ‘wahn’
(enervation) into your hearts.” Someone
asked: “What is wahn (enervation), O Messenger of
Allah (saws)?” He (saws) replied:
“Love of the world and the dislike of death!!!”
The Truth
is that Allah Subhanah has not forsaken us; but we
have truly forsaken the Guidance of our Lord!
We have loved the life of this transitory world, more than our
everlasting life of the Hereafter! We
have given lip-service to the Guidance of Allah and His Messenger, and have
lived our lives according to our hearts desire!
We have broken ourselves in sects, each ready to spill the blood of his
brother Muslim on small differences! We
have divided our strengths, and broken our brotherhood and our leadership! We feel pride and honor to follow the way of
the pagans, and feel ashamed and humiliated to follow the way of the Messenger of
Allah (saws)!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 33: It is He (Allah) who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the
religion of Truth (Al-Islam) to proclaim it over all religions, even though the
pagans may detest (it).
If we
search our souls, we will realize that Allah Subhanah
has indeed been Merciful to the Muslim Ummah more
than we have deserved! It is the Solemn
Promise of the All-Mighty Lord that the deen of
Truth, Al-Islam will prevail over all the other deens
of the World; and Allah Subhanah never fails to
fulfill His Promises!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 54-57:
54 O ye who believe! If any from among you turn back from his faith,
soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love, as they will love Him;
humble with the believers, mighty against the rejecters; fighting in the way of
Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the Grace of Allah which He will
bestow on whom He pleaseth: and Allah Encompasseth all and He Knoweth all things.
55 Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the
(fellowship of) believers; those who establish regular prayers and regular
charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).
56 As to those who turn (for friendship) to Allah, His Messenger, and
the (fellowship of) believers; it is the fellowship of Allah that must
certainly triumph.
57 O ye who believe! Take not for friends and protectors those who take
your religion for a mockery or sport, whether among those who received the
Scripture before you, or among those who reject faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have Faith (indeed).
Thus in
conclusion, my beloved brother in Islam, we as individuals and as an Ummah, will have to change our conduct if we sincerely want
this deen of Truth to triumph over all the other deens of the world!
And the Sunnah of Allah Subhanah
is very clearly declared in His Glorious Quran:
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah Raad verse 11: Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they
change it themselves.
It is the
Decree and the Plan of Allah Subhanah that His Word
and His Name will remain the Highest in the Worlds, no matter who and how many
people oppose it! Allah Subhanah is more than Able and Capable
of making all the human beings bow down in submission to Him by force, but that
is not the Way of Allah Subhanah! He has put mankind to a test for a period of
one life, to see who amongst them, of their own free will submit to His Will,
and who amongst them oppose it!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 112: Allah sets forth a
parable: a city enjoying security and quiet, abundantly supplied with
sustenance from every place: yet was it ungrateful for the favors of Allah: so
Allah made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes), (closing in on it) like
a garment (from every side), because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought.
Our
choice is only one, and it is simple; if indeed we want success in this world
and in the Hereafter: Hold fast to the Guidance of Allah and His Messenger
(saws) in letter and in spirit, if we truly wish to be successful in this life
and the Hereafter! If we do not fulfill
this duty of ours, we will remain in subjugation and the humiliation we find ourselves
in today, until a time comes when the believers will decide to rise again to
the challenge of the rejecters of faith!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 54-57:
54 O ye who believe! If any from among you turn back from his faith, soon
will Allah produce a people whom He will love, as they will love Him;
humble with the believers, mighty against the rejecters; fighting in the way of
Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the Grace of Allah which He will
bestow on whom He pleaseth: and Allah Encompasseth all and He Knoweth all things.
O Allah,
have Mercy on us, and the Ummah of Islam. O our Lord, we beg you to take this service
from us and make us of those who are obedient to Your Will. O our Lord, bestow
on us the patience and the courage to strive in Your Cause. O our Lord, make us
of those who love the life of the Hereafter in preference to life of this
transitory world. O Our Lord, have mercy on us, forgive us our shortcomings, increase our
faith, bestow on us patience and steadfastness, and include us amongst Your
righteous slaves. O our Lord, we have
indeed been unjust and ungrateful for all the favors You
have bestowed upon us. O our Lord, have Mercy upon us, forgive us, and guide us to the Straight
Path. You and You Alone are our
Protector in this world and in the Hereafter, so help us against those who
reject faith. Ameen.
Now to
answer your listed questions:
Your
question: It is said that we(muslims)
are being punished because of our ill doings by Allah. Is it right?
Our
Merciful Lord has indeed been full of Mercy and Grace towards us, much much more than we have deserved! Had Allah Willed to
destroy us, He would have annhiliated us from the
face of this earth, as He destroyed the nations of ungrateful people before
us!!!
Your
question: If we are not good muslims, but
at least we are.
Are we
really? If every muslim
looks into his own soul and compares himself to any of the companions of the
Messenger of Allah (saws) or any of the righteous believers who came after
them; can even one of us today say that we have given the sacrifices they gave
for the triumph of this deen of Truth?
When one
declares the testimony of faith: “There is no god but Allah, and Mohamed (saws)
is His Messenger”, it automatically puts a heavy load of responsibility on the
person who declares it!
Have we
done anything more, than give lip-service to this testimony of faith?
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 111: Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their
property; for theirs (in return) is the Gardens (of Paradise): they fight in
His Cause, and slay, and are slain: a promise binding on Him in Truth through
the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more
faithful to his covenant than Allah?
Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the
Achievement Supreme.
Yes, by
declaring the ‘shahaadah’, we indeed have qualified
as ‘legal’ muslims; but are
we truly believers who have sold their lives and their property in earnest to
their Lord in exchange for His Promise of Paradise? Are we really???
Your
question: We pray to Allah and have full faith in His revealed book and all his
prophet(PBUH).
Do we
really??? There was a time of righteousness in this Ummah,
when the MINIMUM, I repeat MINIMUM bar or level of being recognized as a muslim was attending the five prayers in the mosque without
fail, fasting in Ramadan, giving regular charity, performing Hajj, and fighting
Jihaad in the Cause of Allah at one call of the ‘Ameer’ or leader.
We live
in times today, where if a person performs just one of above, like praying his
five obligatory prayers in the mosque without fail would make him the best muslim in his community!
Yes, we
do confess our full faith in Allah’s Revealed Book and His Messenger (saws),
but if one honestly asks himself: does he really follow the tenets and the
commands of the Quran and the Sunnah,
one would be forced to confess that he is zillions of miles away from what is expected
to be recognized as a true believer in the sight of the Lord of the
Worlds!!!
Your
question: Why are not the hindus
being punished by Allah, Why dont we recieve any help?
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibraheem verse 34: And He (Allah) giveth you of all that ye
ask for. But if ye count the favors of
Allah, never will ye be able to number them: verily man is given up to
injustice and ingratitude!
Beloved
brother in Islam, if one is indeed honest with himself, he should worry more
about: Why are not the muslims
being punished by Allah for their ungrateful behavior? Why has Allah not annhiliated
and destroyed us for our utter disobedience, like He destroyed the people who
came before us?
What
other answer can there be other than the continued and infinite Grace and Mercy
of the Lord Most Merciful on sinners like us, Who has given us time to admit
and recognize our own shortcomings in the deen, and
given us respite to seek His Mercy and His Forgiveness, and amend our conduct
before a time comes when our results are declared in His Ultimate and Supreme
Court of Justice!
My
beloved brother in Islam, may Allah Subhanah reward you with the best in this life and the
Hereafter for asking these all important questions, which arouses our faith,
and our conscience. May Allah Subhanah record these soul-searching questions of yours as
a good deed in your Book of Records, and grant you the highest grade in His
Gardens of Paradise. May Allah give you,
and us, and all the believers the wisdom and the courage to recognize our
duties and responsibilities towards His Cause, and make us of those who
constantly turn to our Merciful Lord in repentance and penitence.
Whatever
written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance,
and whatever of error is of me. Allah
Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
