Answer:
No mention of Snow in Quran
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Firstly one must understand that the Glorious Quran does
mention by name everything that is created or is in existence in the
Universe; for the Quran is a Book of
Guidance from the All Merciful, All Knowing Lord, and everything that pertains to man’s guidance is embedded in the
Glorious Quran. Just because a thing in
existence is not mentioned in the Quran, does not make the Glorious Quran
incomplete! If tomorrow the same
gentleman drives through an orange or apple orchard, and does not find the mention of an apple or an orange in the
Quran; would he also search for the
reason why these fruits are not mentioned by name in the Quran?
Secondly, any meteorologist will verify that it is never
snow that is released from the clouds,
but it is the rain-water which is released; but due to the low temperature of the atmosphere in certain places
the rain-water forms into flakes of snow as it reaches the earth. And the rains from the skies is mentioned
several times all over the Quran as one of the Mercies and Blessings to mankind
from his Merciful Lord.
Indeed the whole machinery and system of the rain falling
on the earth, its metamorphosis when
evaporated into moisture, the rising of this moisture towards the skies, its collection in the clouds, and again its falling
in the form of rain-water is in itself a Sign of a Perfect Planner and Controller.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 45 Surah
Jathiyaa verses 5-9:
5 And in the alternation of Night and Day; and the fact that Allah
sends down Sustenance from the sky and revives therewith the earth after its
death; and the change of the winds; are Signs for those that are wise.
6 Such are the Signs of Allah which We rehearse to thee in truth: then in what exposition will they believe
after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs?
7 Woe to each sinful Dealer in Falsehoods:
8 He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and
lofty as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!
9 And when he learns something of Our Signs he takes them in jest: for
such there will be a humiliating Penalty.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraf verse 57:
It is He (Allah) who sendeth the winds
like heralds of glad tidings going before His Mercy (rains): when they have
carried the heavy-laden clouds We drive them to a land that is dead make rain
to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith: thus shall We raise up the dead: perchance
ye may remember.
Thirdly, the Quran was revealed in Arabia and describing a
formed product like snow to the desert Arabs of Arabia would be like describing
a product like the air-conditioners to the Eskimos!
Allah Subhanah is the All-Knowing, All-Wise and has Absolute Knowledge of
everything that is in existence.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah
Saba verses 1-2:
1 Praise be to Allah to Whom belong all things in the Heavens and on
earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom acquainted
with all things.
2 He knows all that goes into the earth, and all that comes out
thereof; all that comes down from the sky, and all that ascends thereto: and He is the Most Merciful
the Oft-Forgiving.
Your Statement: AND FOR GOD`S SAKE DON`T TRY TO DEFEND
QURAAN ,JUST BECAUSE OF EMOTIONS
My beloved brother in Islam, the
Glorious Quran are the very words of the Lord Who Created the heavens and the
earth and everything that exists in between;
and the All-Mighty All-Powerful One Alone more than suffices to defend
His Words!
A human being is not even capable of defending himself;
how can he possibly defend something as heavy and weighty as the Very Words of
his Creator! All the believers can do
is strive to do justice with the knowledge of the Quran with those who try to
challenge the wisdom of the Divine Words with their ignorance and, at times,
their arrogance; in the hope that One
Inevitable Day in the Presence of their Lord,
the Quran would defend and bear witness for them and not against
them!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
