Why do we write NO DAI

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Brother in Islam Burhan,

I have always read the 1st para where is says In the name .......(you specially put "NO DAI") why ? I have never seen you writing "NO Maulana" NO Kazi" etc. This shows that you have grievances which you should not have against any one, if you consider yourself as sincere Muslim. On this planet, no body is pure neither me nor you or any one.

Regards,

Answer:

Why do we write “NO DAI”

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

My beloved brother in Islam, what we are trying to declare and bear witness in our opening statement is that no matter who or what it may be, there is absolutely no one, absolutely nobody, absolutely nothing in the Heavens and the earth worthy of worship, except the One Allah Subhanah Alone!

If by putting ‘no Maulana’ and ‘no Kazi’, or whatever else you want us to include in this list, it becomes clear to the person reading it that there is no one, absolutely no one worthy of worship other than the One Lord Alone; we have absolutely no problems in including that term or title!

Your Statement: .......(you specially put "NO DAI") why ?…….. This shows that you have grievances which you should not have against any one, if you consider yourself as sincere Muslim.

Beloved brother, in the same sentence we have also included the Noble Prophets of Allah and the righteous Imaams; does that mean we have grievances against these noble servants of Allah too? Allah is our witness, that we believe, honor and respect every single Prophet and Messenger of Allah Subhanah, without exception; and respect and honor every righteous Imaam!

The reason we included the term ‘Dai’ is because there are a sect of people who worship their sect-leader who is called a Dai; they obey him unconditionally, they believe he can see and hear and know all things, they invoke him in the ‘unseen’ for all their needs, and they even bow down to him in his direction in sajdah, etc. These beliefs and acts are manifestations of worship, and no one in the Heavens and the earth is worthy of worship other than the One True Lord Alone!

And to share any of Allah Subhanah’s Exclusive Attributes with any amongst His creation, or to invoke or worship any one other than the One Lord Alone is the single biggest abomination and considered the most heinous sin in the deen of Islam: that is, ‘shirk’ or associating any other with Allah Subhanah.

This sect-leader or the ‘Dai’ encourages and demands these acts, and as such, he condones and encourages these beliefs and acts of ‘shirk’ with Allah Subhanah. No matter who does these acts of ‘shirk’ and no matter who encourages and condones it, the believers who truly fear Allah and the Last Day, must abstain from any and all beliefs, acts, and manifestations of this abomination and heinous sin of ‘shirk’!!!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72:Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (invoking anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help.

Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48:Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 65-66:If you commit ‘shirk’ all your works will be rendered vain and you will be among the losers. Therefore, you should worship Allah Alone, and be among His grateful servants.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 67:These people (who commit shirk) have not recognized the true worth of Allah, as His worth should truly be recognized. (As for His Omnipotence) the entire earth on the Day of Resurrection shall be in His grasp and the heavens shall be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He and Exalted above the ‘shirk’ that these people commit.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Fusselat verse 37:Do not do ‘sajdah’ to the sun and the moon, but do ‘sajdah’ to that Allah, Who Created them, if you really are indeed His worshippers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 77:O you who believe, do ‘rukoo’ and ‘sajdah’ to Allah Alone, worship Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds. It may be that you attain true success.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verse 2-3:So worship Allah Alone, making your religion His exclusively. Beware! Religion is the exclusive Right of Allah. As for those who have taken other ‘auliyas’ (guardians) with Allah (and justify their this conduct by saying): “We serve them only that they may bring us closer to Allah.” Allah will surely judge between them concerning all that in which they differ. Allah does not show guidance to any liar and denier of the Truth.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verse 18:These people serve beside Allah those which can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors) with Allah!” (O Mohammed), tell them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows not in the heavens, or in the earth?” He is absolutely free from, and exalted above the shirk that they commit.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 31:They have made their scholars and their monks as their Rabbs besides Allah!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verse 66:Note it well that all the dwellers of the heavens and the earth belong to Allah. And those who invoke partners besides Allah, follow nothing but surmises and merely indulge in guess-works!

If the Dai, who encourages and demands the beliefs and acts of shirk from his followers, and his followers who believe and perform these acts of shirk to their Dai had read the Glorious Quran with understanding, and understood the severity of this abomination of a sin; they would never have believed and done these acts of ‘shirk’!! But unfortunately, the followers are kept so far away from ever understanding the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran, that they don’t even know that the only thing they are being guided towards by their unscrupulous priests is the Severe Wrath, Anger, and Ever-Lasting Punishment of the All-Powerful and All-Mighty Lord!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 13:Then, instead of Allah, he invokes those who can do him neither harm nor good. This is the last extremity of deviation. He invokes those who are more likely to do him harm, than good! What an EVIL ‘MAULA’ he chooses, and what an evil companion.

May Allah Subhanah guide the Dai, his family, and his followers to understand and obey the clear teachings and commands of the Holy Quran so that they may save themselves from this abomination and heinous sin of ‘shirk’, before a Day comes when the doors of Taubah and repentance are permanently closed, and everyone is brought forth in the Just Court of Allah Subhanah to answer for his deeds!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
