Dear Brother Burhan, Assalam Alaikum w.r.b, I am really delighted to see this helpline website that opens the minds of practising `Muslims` in a simple and logical way, and helps to do an inner search to understand and follow the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. May Allah reward you for this tremendous effort and help others to take up a similar initiative. Could you please provide me some insight on the `Medhi`, `Mahdi` and the `Mahdavi` sect in Islam. I believe this sect is another of the innovations of the human being which many of whom I know follow with full faith.

Mehdi sect of Islam

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best for your kind comments of encouragement, and for your supplications for the brothers and sisters who volunteer their time and humble efforts on this forum. May our Generous and Merciful Lord give you and reward you more than what you have asked for us. If we are able to bring even one brother or sister closer to Islam with our humble efforts, we will consider ourselves very fortunate. May Allah Subhanah accept yours and our humble deeds, forgive us our short-comings, have Mercy on us, and save us all from the torment of the Hell Fire.

Brother, the truth is that we have not heard, nor do we have any specific knowledge of the beliefs and practices of the Mehdi, Mahdi, and the Mahdavi sects that you have inquired about. If you could be kind enough to tell us where these sects exists, and what are their beliefs and practices; we could comment on their beliefs in light of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
