Answer:
Understanding Quran
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad
(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The Quran was revealed in the language of the people of
Quraish, so that they could understand the Message. If today, one understands the Arabic language well, he will have absolutely no difficulty in
understanding the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran. Allah has revealed the Holy Quran as a
perfect guidance to all mankind. He
Himself declares in various verses in the Holy Quran that this Book is easy,
plain, direct, clear and open for anyone who wants to understand the Message of
the Lord of the Worlds.
Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat
185:"Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a
perfect guidance for mankind and consists of CLEAR teachings which show the
right way and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood."
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 12 Surah
Yusuf verse 1-2:These are the verses of the Book that makes its object
perfectly clear. We have sent it down
as a Quran in Arabic, so that you may understand it well.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 89:We have sent down to you this Book, which makes everything plain,
and is a guidance, blessing and good news to those who have surrendered
themselves entirely.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah
Maryam verse 97:O Mohamed, We have made this Quran easy, and sent it down in
your tongue so that you should give good news to the pious and warn the
stubborn people.
And if it so happens, that our first language is not
Arabic; we can very well understand the clear guidance and teachings of the
Holy Quran through a translation in the language we understand best.
The confusion is created by unscrupulous leaders and
self-made holy men, who constantly try to keep their followers away from
understanding the Holy Quran for their own material and political gains. They are the ones who warn that each aayah
of the Quran has ten meanings! They
are the ones who say that the Quran can only be understood by some ‘chosen’
people! They are the ones who say that
the Quran has various meanings like ‘zaahir’,
‘baatin’, ‘taweel’, etc.! They are the ones who declare that the Holy
Quran is impossible to understand by ‘fools’ like you and me! They are the ones who have been
instrumental in taking the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran away
from our lives!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Al-Baqarah verse 174:Indeed those, who conceal the commands that Allah has sent
down in His Book and barter them away for paltry worldly gains, fill their bellies with fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of
Resurrection, nor will He regard them as pure and there is a painful torment
for them!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 159:Those who conceal the clear (Revelations) and Guidance We
have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, on them
shall be Allah’s ‘laanah’ and the ‘laanah’ of those who are entitled to curse!
Thus brother, do yourself a favor and start reading the
Glorious Quran with understanding.
Allah has revealed the Holy Quran as a perfect guidance to mankind, and
it is the duty of every believer to know, understand, and implement the
commands of our Creator in our lives.
One thing you will realize after you have read the Quran
with understanding is that no one will ever be able to mislead you in the name
of Islam.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
