Contribution of martyrdom of Husain (r.a).
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this
question:
Dear Brother,
Thanks for your enlighjtining mails, but since being very
involved in business at times its difficult to read through these long mails.
2 suggestions for the same.
1)Can we make the topics brief so it can be read and understood
well.
2)I would really prefer a face to face sermon of these topics where
I can understand them well.Do we have such facilities and if so how can we gain
access to it.
Lastly, I believe in what my heart says and that what I believe
is true faith and true Islam.I can and will never disregard what the Imams and
dais have done for Islam and their contribution to Islam can and will never go
unnoticed, so whatever you write on it will never be able to remove that faith
from my heart Inshaallah.
The martydom on Imam Ali or Imam Hussain can never go unnoticed
in the history of Islam.so I prefer you not sending me topics based on that
sensitive issue cause that will stay in me till dead inshaallah.
Rest the topics are truly intersting and will look forward to
reciving them.
Salams.

Answer:
Contribution of
martyrdom of Husain (r.a).
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can
misguide, and who-ever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We
bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness
that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Your question: Can we make the topics brief
so it can be read and understood well.
We do apologize for our
deficiency and shortcoming in making these answers brief. The topics are obviously not in
our control as these are the questions and comments as made by our brothers and
sisters on the forum. Our
only excuse is that if the questions asked are of a jurisprudence or legal
matter, the answer will almost always be precise and to the point. But if the questions are
regarding ‘imaan’, faith, belief, and aqeedah … then it needs a little more
explaining. Also we always
strive to give evidence for the matter from the Holy Quran, and because
sometimes there is so much evidence available which relates directly to the
topic, that we are unable to give short and precise answers.
May Allah reward you for your
patience and we appreciate your suggestions and comments, and realize that you
are only trying to help in the Cause of Allah.
I would really prefer a face to face sermon
of these topics where I can understand them well. Do we have such facilities
and if so how can we gain access to it.
Alhamdolillah. All Praise is due to Allah Alone, that
there is no place on earth where the brothers and sisters are not engaged in
praising and worshipping the One Lord Alone. It all depends where you reside and
what language you speak and understand; because I am sure there will always be
brothers and sisters who are engaged in the propagation of the true deen in
light of the Glorious Quran, wherever you may be, Insha Allah. And it also the blessing and
mercy of Allah, that He has made this facility for reading and understanding
the Holy Quran easily accessible and absolutely free of charge; so that on the
Day of Judgement, one who stayed away from the clear guidance of the Holy
Quran, would not be able to say in the Court of Allah that he did not have the
means to ponder over the aayahs of the Quran!
You could start by reading and
understanding the Quran yourself, and if you wish to join a study group of the
understanding of the Holy Quran, you could send us your city of residence and
the language you best understand, and we will Insha Allah try to locate a study
group for you in your city. Insha
Allah. If you are willing to
take this step for the Pleasure of Allah, Allah will Insha Allah find a way for
you.
Your Comment: Lastly, I believe in what my
heart says and that what I believe is true faith and true Islam.
We would rather you believe in what Allah and His
Messenger (saws) say about true faith and true Islam, and thus accordingly
follow the clear guidance of the Glorious Quran and the traditions and way of
the Messenger of Allah (saws).
Allah did not leave each individual to follow what his ‘heart’ says, but
rather sent His Messenger and His Book for our guidance; and in that should a
true believer should believe.
If ones follow the Glorious Quran and the Messenger of Allah (saws), he
will be guided aright. If
one follows anything else other than these two sources, then he will be astray.
I can and will never disregard what the Imams
and dais have done for Islam and their contribution to Islam can and will never
go unnoticed, so whatever you write on it will never be able to remove that
faith from my heart Inshaallah.
The martyrdom on Imam Ali or Imam Hussain can
never go unnoticed in the history of Islam.so I prefer you not sending me
topics based on that sensitive issue cause that will stay in me till dead
inshaallah.
The martyrdom of Imam Ali
(r.a.), Imam Hussain (r.a.), and all the other pious slaves of Allah may go
unnoticed by man, but the One for whom they sacrificed everything, including
their property, their families, and their lives; will never allow it to go
un-rewarded. What reward
could we possibly give to these pious slaves and martyrs of Allah? Their reward is in the safe
custody of the Lord of the Worlds, and He Alone is Able and Capable of
rewarding them for their deeds.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 134: They were a people who passed
away. They shall receive the reward
of what they earned, and you shall have the reward of what you will earn. And you will not be questioned as
to what they did.
There is not a believer on this
earth, who can deny or not appreciate the sacrifices given by Imam Ali (r.a.)
and Imam Hussain (r.a.). All
the muslims are unanimous in their love for these noble souls of Allah. But we must be careful that in
the love of any personality, we cannot raise the person beyond his ‘maqaam’ and
station … that they worshipped Allah Alone; that they feared Allah Alone; that
they invoked Allah Alone; that they were obedient and pious slaves of Allah
Subhanah; and all their sacrifices were given for the Cause and Pleasure of
Allah Alone.
In our love and reverence for
these noble martyrs, we cannot take them and raise them above the ‘maqaam’ of
the Messenger of Allah (saws).
And Allah forbid, even raise them at par with Allah Subhanah. That would be mis-guidance!
There are people who invoke
these martyrs and ask them for their needs… this is the sole right of Allah
Alone.
There are people who do ‘tawaaf’
around their graves … that is the right of Allah’s House Alone.
There are some people who call
Imam Ali (r.a.) ‘mushkil kushaa’ (the remover of perils) and ‘haajat rawaa’
(the answerer of prayers) …. Allah Alone can remove our perils and answer our
prayers!
What we have to do is love them,
try to follow in their noble footsteps, and emulate their deeds for the same
Cause … to make Allah’s Name and Law supreme in the land.
Just read the Quran and see what
Allah says about the people who believed, followed and loved Jesus Christ
(r.a.). In their love and
reverence, they raised the ‘maqaam’ of Prophet Jesus (r.a.) and some made him a
god, and others made him the son of God! Thus Allah cursed them severely in the Holy Quran!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verses 88-93: They say that the Merciful has
taken a son! What an absurd thing
you have invented! It is well near
that the heavens might crack, and the earth might split asunder, and the
mountains crumble down at this hideous thing that they should ascribe a son to
the Merciful! It does not
behove the Merciful to adopt a son!
All those who are in the heavens and the earth, are going to be
presented before Allah as His slave-servants.
It has been
narrated by Imam Ali ibn AbuTalib (r.a.) that Allah's Messenger (saws) said to
him, "You have a resemblance to Jesus whom the Jews hated so much that
they slandered his mother, and whom the Christians loved so much that they
placed him in a position not rightly his." Imam Ali (r.a.) afterwards said, "Two people will
perish on my account, one who loves me so excessively that he praises me for
what I do not possess, and one who hates me so much that he will be impelled by
his hatred to slander me."
May Allah guide you and us to
true Islam and the True Imaan as followed by the Messenger of Allah (saws),
Imam Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.), Imam Hussain (r.a.), and all the other martyrs and
noble companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws). They all invoked Allah Alone, and did not set up any
associates with Him.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me. Allah Alone
Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
