Assalaamualaikum Brother Burhan, Hope you and your family are doing fine InshaAllah and you had a good Ramzaan. I wanted to clarify few things with you brother. My sitauation is I am having ceratin kind of fear in my chest that I cannot talk about islam to anyone freely. I was feeling shy to give Dawah and talk about Holy Quran or Namaz etc. I Alhamdolillah know why it is. I think because i am shia muslim so I am having minority feeling. I had posted to you one question sometime back and the brother called me soon AlHamdolillah. He explain to me it is not good to think oneself as shia or sunni muslim rather as only one muslim. Then I agreed with that. Before I used to be nervous going to sunni mosque for praying but now Alhamdolillah i am going freely. Now I am thinking about the one muslim concept that the brother told me.

I am not happy with certain things being followed in our Alavi Bohra jamaat. We pray 3 times instead of 5 which i am not sure is right. Also we have increased the Darjah of Ahlul-Bayt too much more than is allowed by shariah i think. Example in Rajab month we do Tasbeeh of Maula Ali (a.s.) I think we should do Tasbeeh of only Allah Taala as it is like Ibadah. Also in certain namaz we say Ya Ali (a.s.) or Ya Husain (a.s.) like tasbeeh and we added Ashhadu anna maulana Ali yuv waliyullah in our kalmah.

Now i am thinking should i convert to one muslim but i am not sure what it is. Some people call themselves sunni, some shia some maybe else. Which is the correct stream brother? Please could you help? May Allah give entire ummah, you me and everyone Hidayah. Aameen.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

MaashaAllah brother we have noticed you have received the guidance of worshipping one Allah alone. You are completely on the right path InshaAllah.

We urge you to first and foremost read the Noble Quran in a language you understand. InshaAllah all your fears will slowly vanish.

These minor things about praying 3 or 5 times, giving more importance to the Noble Ahle Bayt, tasbeeh of Hadrat Ali r.a. and imam Hussain r.a., and the adding of Hadrat Ali r.a. name in the azaan and kalimah will be left aside once you acquire the understanding of the Noble Quran.

It is normal to feel ashamed to propagate anything which is not true. Once you understand the Noble Quran your heart will be filled with knowledge and you will want to share it with all your loved ones immediately.
