From the death of Jesus and the birth of Muhammad how many prophets were there? and what were their names?

Answer:

Prophets between Jesus and Mohamed

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Firstly, it is the belief of every believer, who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day, that Prophet Jesus (a.s.) did not die; but was raised up to the heavens by Allah Subhanah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 156-158:

Then they (the Jews) went so far in their unbelief that they uttered a monstrous calumny against Mary (that she was an unchaste woman!). They themselves bragged: “We have slain Jesus son of Mary, a Messenger of Allah!” Whereas, in fact, they did not slay him, nor did they crucify him; but the matter was made dubious for them. And those who have differed about this matter, are also in doubt concerning it. They have no knowledge of it, but they follow mere conjectures, for it is certain that they did not kill Jesus. Nay, the fact is that Allah had raised him to Himself, for Allah is indeed All-Powerful, All-Wise.

When Jesus came to his disciples (who thought he was dead and had returned as a ghost), he gave them the due greetings of ‘Shaloam’, and begins calming them, and says the following to prove that he is not ghost, but a normal human being.

Bible Luke 24:39-40

“Behold my hands and my feet,

That it is I myself,

Handle me and see,

For a Spirit has no flesh and bones, as you see me have.

…. And he showed them his hands and his feet.”

The disciples were overjoyed and wondered what could have happened. They had thought that he was dead, but here was their master, in flesh and bones! To assure them further, Jesus asks:

Bible Luke 24: 41-43

“Have you here any meat,

And they gave him a piece of broiled fish and of a honeycomb,

And he took it, and did eat before them.”

The Quran confirms the point made in the Bible, that Jesus was alive and never killed as thought by the Jews and Jesus’s disciples.

The only Prophet Allah appointed after He raised Jesus (a.s.) to Himself alive, was the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws). There are no Prophets between Jesus (a.s.) and the Mohamed ar Rasool Allah (saws).

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
