What for women in Paradise (Jannah) and Hoors for men in paradise

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalamu alaykum,I just wanted to know about the hoors in paradise for men. Why will the men receive rewards like that but none for women? or why can't it be that if both husband and wife make it to the paradise then they stay together in jannah without having anything to do with hoors? is it possible? I know jannah is not something so easy to get in but knowing about this really bothers and upsets me. Also that no rewards have been mentioned for women besides being the most beautiful in jannah. Is it only about pleasure of the men that they get this as rewards in jannah? What about women? they sacrifice a lot of things, cover themselves, look after husband and kids. While just because a man controls himself and only looks at his wife in this life...they get the hoors in paradise. Women also like to dress up nice show their body and walk around or like it when people look at them but good women they cover themselves and be like how allah wants them to be then why do we have to share our husband in jannah? If everything is going to be greater and better than what we have in this life then why can't just the husband and wife of this world stay together happily ever after. How is it fair? only because of the pleasure jealousy will be removed from us so we don't get jealous when our husband sleeps with the hoors? is it all about men? Sorry about these questions but all this stuff comes in my mind asking my self. I end up even crying over this which I know I shouldn't but why is it all about men...?

What for women in Paradise (Jannah) and Hoors for men in paradise

The main principle, blessing, bounty, and promise of our Merciful and Gracious Lord is that whoever enters the Eternal Gardens of Paradise will be provided whatever one desires!    All he/she has to do is ask for it, and the Bounteous Lord will immediately provide these fortunate dwellers of Paradise with it!   Whatever they ask for, they shall have in these Eternal Gardens of Bliss!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 50 Surah Qaaf verse 35:There they (the men and women ofParadise) shall have all that they will desire and We have with Us yet more for them!

Ref:  Relationship between the people of Paradise….

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verse 67:When the Day (of Judgment) comes, all friends shall become enemies of one another; except the pious (or righteous)!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 52 Surah Tur verse 21: Those who have believed and their descendants also have followed in their footsteps in some degree of faith, We shall join to them those of their descendants also (in Paradise),  and shall not deprive them of anything of their deeds.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah Raad verses 23-24: Gardens wherein they shall live for ever.   They will enter into them along with the righteous from among their forefathers, wives and descendants.  The angels will come to welcome them from every side, saying, “Peacebe upon you!   You have won this blessing because of what you steadfastly endured in the world (gone by).”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verses 70-72:(It will be said) “EnterParadise, you and your wives!  You will be made happy!”  There they shall have platters and cups of gold passed round to them, and there they shall have everything that the souls can desire, and the eyes can delight in.   It will be said to them, “You shall live here for ever!   You have inherited this Paradise by virtue of the deeds you did in the world!   You have abundance of fruit here, which you will eat.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 15 Surah Hijr verse 47:(It will be said to the people ofParadise) “Enter into these (Gardens) in Peace and Security.”   We will remove from their hearts even the little bit of spite that will be therein, and they will become like brethren, and sit face to face on couches.   They will have no toil to weary them, nor will they be cast our from there!

Your Question: I just wanted to know about the hoors in paradise for men. Why will the men receive rewards like that but none for women?

If both the husband and the wife were pious in their life of this world and are awarded Paradise by the Mercy of their Lord in the Hereafter, Allah Subhanah will increase their love manifold between them, and each of them would prefer none to be their everlasting spouse and partner except their pious spouse of this world.

Your statement: Is it only about pleasure of the men that they get this as rewards in jannah? What about women? They sacrifice a lot of things, cover themselves, and look after husband and kids.

Every fortunate being, whether they be male or female, who makes it to Paradise, it is the promise of Allah that He will give them whatever their hearts desire….  Allah has promised the men of Paradise in excess of 72 hoors or women of Paradise…. But his wife of the world who makes it to Paradise, she will be the queen of the hoors… and the most beautiful one amongst all of them!

The women of Paradise, like the men, will get whatever they desire…. Whatever they want; all they will have to do is wish it in their hearts and ask the Generous Lord… and the Bounteous Lord shall provide it instantly!    Such will be the hospitality of the fortunate people in the Kingdom of the Merciful Lord!   They will live therein for ever, as honored guests of the Supreme Lord of the Universe!    These fortunate guests may ask, and ask, and ask, and ask, and ask……..and ask…. And the Gracious Lord will multiply what they ask for and present it to them…. To such an extent, that it is narrated by the Prophet (saws) that there will come a time that the person will say He does not know what else to ask for! And Allah Subhanahfrom His Bounty will again multiply whatever the person has got and bestow it upon them!   And this system of bliss will never end!

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said that Allah Subhanah said in a Hadith Qudsi regarding the extent of His Infinite wealth and treasures:  “O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you, to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than that a needle decreases the sea, if put into it.”

Your Question: is it all about men?

The fortunate people who will be rewarded Paradise by Allah Subhanah,  will get an abundance of things from their Lord:  eternal life of pleasure,  gardens,  wealth, properties,  palaces,  servants, canals of milk and honey,  natural springs,  abundance of food and fruits,  and loving husband/wives,  children,  family, etc.   And above all,  they will get the Pleasure and Good Will of their Lord and Creator!

The ‘hoors’ are only a part of the bounty that the men of Paradise will receive from their Generous Lord.

Allah has promised the fortunate dwellers of Paradise, whether men or women, that they will receive whatever they desire.   Whatever they may ask for, no matter how small or big, will be provided for them instantly.     They will be treated like honored and VVIP guests of the Lord of the worlds! Forever!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqan verses 15-16:

Ask them, “Is this (the Fire) better, or the Everlasting Gardens which have been promised to the God-fearing, righteous people (men and women)?”   That will be the recompense of their good deeds and the final destination of their journey, wherein, they will get everything they desire, and wherein they will dwell forever.   This is a promise which your Lord has taken upon Himself to fulfill.

As regards the rewards that the successful people of Paradise (whether men or women) will receive from their Bounteous and Generous Lord,   they will be the same.  But since man and woman are created with different likes, dislikesand preferences, Allah will reward each of them according to their nature or ‘fitrah’, and whatever each of them asks for, Allah will provide for them immediately.

Allah Subhanah, Who Created everything in existence, also created its nature.    And since man was created polygamous by nature,  one of the rewards which The All Knowing and All Wise Lord has promised the fortunate men of Paradise is the companionship of  many chaste, beautiful,  and obedient wives in that Eternal Abode of the Hereafter.

The nature granted by Allah to women is not the same that was granted to men. Unlike men, a woman is not polygamous by nature.  The things that a woman desires most from her husband is that he love her,  cherish her,  honor her, respect her,  and treat her like a queen.  And every woman also has the desire to be the most beautiful of all!

Thus, of all the heavenly wives of the righteous men of Paradise, Allah will make his righteous wife of this world to be the most beautiful amongst all of his heavenly wives!  And she will be like the queen of the household and live with her husband in abundance, peace, harmony, bliss, and joy for ever!   She will be granted whatever she desires, as promised by Allah Subhanah in His Glorious Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 32 Surah Sajdah verse 17: No living being knows what comfort of the eyes has been kept hidden from them, as a recompense for their (righteous) deeds!

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.467         Narrated by Abu Huraira Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Allah, The High and Exalted He is, said, 'I have prepared for My pious slaves (men and women) things which have never been seen by an eye, or heard by an ear, or imagined by a human being.'

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
