Answer:

Hadiths of only 3 generations are accepted

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Statement: A hadith of Prophet that only 3 generation are proper so it means remaning are not proper?

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.686 Narrated byZ ahdam bin Mudarrab

'Imran bin Hussain said, "The Prophet said, 'The best of you (people) are my generation, and the second best will be those who will follow them, and then those who will follow the second generation."

The above narration has absolutely no bearing on the authenticity of the related hadiths, but was a statement made by the noble Messenger of Allah (saws) to honor the generation of believers who witnessed, learnt, and sacrificed their lives and their possessions for the Cause of Islam, the deen direct from the Messenger of Allah (saws). Therefore the noble companions and the family of the Messenger of Allah (saws) were honored to be the best generation; then those who followed them, and then those who followed them and so on.

As regards the authenticity of the hadiths, every single hadith of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that is related can be considered authentic only when one of the noble companions or family of the Prophet (saws) themselves heard the words spoken by the Prophet (saws), or witnessed the deed done by the Prophet (saws), or witnessed the deed done in the presence of the Prophet (saws). It is the noble companions or the family of the noble Prophet (saws), who belong to the first and the best generation, who related what they witnessed in the presence of the Prophet (saws) to their family, friends, and believers, who in turn related what they heard from the first generation to the other believers; and that is how the system of relating hadiths carried on until they were documented in written form.

Thus each and every authentic hadith has to start its narration from the ones who themselves witnessed the words and deeds of the Prophet of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws), or from the first and best generation of believers!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
