My Question is Shaving of Head is Haraam for women in Islam ?  

I heard someone saying this. Pls throw some light on this with help of Quran and Hadith .

Can women shave head

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Is Shaving of Head is Haraam for women in Islam ?  

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4485 Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib

Allah's Messenger (saws) forbade that a woman should shave her head.

It is indeed considered absolutely forbidden in Islam for a believing woman, who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, to shave her head.
