Quran says us not to the kill children out of want as allah provides for us and the children....and alhamdulillah allah has provided us well...
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Dear
brother
assalamu
alaikum..
i am a
23 yr old married girl...and am in quite a dilemma..
my
doctor diagnosed me with a small fibroid in my body and told me to go thru a
surgery to remove it,,,i got operated a couple of weeks back and alhamdulillah
,,,i am back to normal,,, the doctor adviced me not to get pregnant as i would
be under heavy medication during the surgery and that might be harmful to the
baby if i were pregnant,,,
Now
the problem...i am having a few doubts to whether i am pregnant or not,,,i
consulted my doctor yesday and told her about my doubts,...she told me that if
i was actually pregnant now,,,thn it would have almost surely harmed the baby
as i had been under very heavy drugs during the surgery and the early part of
the pregnancy was very vital to the baby`s development.
She
told me that if i were pregnant thn,,,the baby would be deformed almost
surely,,,,bcos it was very risky...she told me to have it removed within the
first six weeks ,...and already 4 weeks have passed..the other alternative was
to wait for 3 months ...and c the growth of the baby and then if it was
deformed to ...remove it by doing a dnc....since that would be a lot of mental
trauma ....she advices me to remove the baby as soon as possible....
i am
in quite a dilemma now....i have already miscarried once and i was really
hoping for a baby...but i dont want to have a baby with disabilities...my
mother father and husband say that if the pregnancy is confirmed i should
remove using a very simple suction evacuation method.....
i
consulted a man who was well versed in the islamic priniciples and
shariah....he told me that there is nothing in the quran against my
decision.,,,he said that the quran says us not to the kill children out of want
as allah provides for us and the children....and alhamdulillah allah has
provided us well...and thr is no need for that...
i only
have my doctors advice to go by ..
if i
am pregnant...it was defenitely unintentional...as i had no plans to get
pregnant b4 i had recovered completely from the surgery...i dont know wat to
do...whether to go by the doctors advice or not...i dont have much time
either...just 2 weeks to decide...
pls
let me know wat i shud do in this situation ...i am confused and watever ppl
say...my decision will be final,..and i want to take the right decision....
pls
advice...
shenaz

Answer:
Abort for fear of disability handicap
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 140:
Most surely they
became losers, who, in their folly and ignorance killed their own
children; and made unlawful what
Allah had provided them as sustenance,
falsely ascribing prohibitions to Allah. Surely, they went astray and were not at all
rightly guided.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 151 (part):
You should not kill your children for fear of poverty; for We provide sustenance for you and will provide sustenance for them also.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 31:
Do not kill
your children for fear of want; for it is We Who
provide for them, and for you as well. Indeed,
their killing is a heinous crime!
Dear and beloved sister in Islam, just because one fears
that the unborn baby in one’s womb might be deformed or disfigured, one does
not have the right to abort or terminate the life of that innocent unborn
child….such a thing would be a manifest murder and a ghastly and an abomination
of a sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.
Even if what the doctors diagnose is true and the unborn
soul that resides in your womb is indeed born disfigured, the Lord Most Supreme
will sustain and cherish it just as He sustains everything in creation.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 81 Surah
Takweer verses 1-9:
1 When the sun (with its spacious light) is
folded up;
2 When the stars fall losing their luster;
3 When the mountains vanish (like a
mirage);
4 When the she-camels ten months with young
are left untended;
5 When the wild beasts are herded together
(in human habitations);
6 When the oceans boil over with a swell;
7 When the souls are sorted out (on the Day
of Judgement);
8 When the female (infant) buried alive is
questioned
9 For what crime she was killed;
Beloved Sister in Islam, if unfortunately you were to
abort your unborn child for any reason whatsoever, we assure you in the name of
Allah Subhanah, that on the Day of Judgment the Lord Most High will put life
back into that innocent murdered soul and you will have to present an answer to
the Lord All-Knowing for what crime was it killed!!!
As your brothers and sincere well-wishers in faith, we beg
and beseech you to fear Allah Subhanah and abstain from this most heinous of
sins. Keep your full trust and faith in
Allah Subhanah and remain constant in your supplications towards Him to have
mercy on you and your child, and to put not a trial on you bigger than you can
bear. If Allah Wills to give one a sound
child, none in creation can alter Allah’s Decision; and if Allah Wills and
Pleases to put the parents through a trial, none in creation can prevent Allah
Subhanah from doing so!
Beloved Sister in Islam, we reiterate again, that to abort
or kill one’s unborn child just because one fears it might be born deformed
would be an abomination of a sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
