One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

I am joining a company with nameTRINITY ENGG SERVICES in dubai, n one of my friend told that the meaning of the trinity is from christianity where they belive god and his son (allah maf kare) n allah subhana wa tallah asked not to utter even this word.

My question is if im joining this company definitely i have to utter this word ,is it true what mentioned above or can i join this company with out hesitation ?

Answer:

Join company called Trinity lawful

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 171:

171 O people of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the Truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One Allah: Glory be to Him: (for Far-Exalted is He) above having a son! To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verses 73-75:

73 They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy) verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

74 Why turn they not to Allah and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful.

75 Christ the son of Mary was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth makes His Signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the Truth!

Respected brother, although the word ‘Trinity’ does not even exist in the Bible, the word ‘Trinity’ does exist in the Holy Quran! It is not that the believers are prohibited from uttering the word ‘Trinity’, for this word finds mention even in the Glorious Quran! ….What is strictly and categorically forbidden by the Lord is that one accepts or believes in the concept of ‘Trinity’!

In the times of the Prophet (saws), many amongst the believers were employed by Jews and/or Christians, people whom the Quran itself confirms were involved in blasphemy and ‘shirk’ with Allah Subhanah ; even the Prophet (saws) himself had financial dealings with them on several occasions.

As long as the work one does is lawful in its essence, the belief of the owner of the company, or the name of the company, etc. by itself does not make the seeking of work in the company unlawful in the Sight of Shariah. If the Christian brother who owns the company wishes to name his company based on his belief and assign it a name like ‘Trinity Eng. Services’….that is his choice and his belief, and he alone will be responsible for his belief and his deeds in the Presence of the Lord.

We reiterate again that provided the work that you would do in the company is lawful in its essence, the belief of the owners of the company, or the name they have chosen to assign to their company would not by itself make your earnings from the company unlawful. And Allah Alone Knows Best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
