Quran guidance for muttaqeen.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalamu alikum Brother Burhan,

I really appreciate you for the efforts you are taking to help the people understand Islam.

I want to ask you about an Aayath in Quran , Sura Al Baqara , verse no:  2.  This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil).

What is the exact meaning of the verse? This verse explains that, Quran is for the people who is Muthaqeen( who guard (against evil)).

So what about the people who are not Muthaqeen? I want a good explanation for this one.

I would be really pleased if you can clear my doubt about this verse.

Answer:

Quran guidance for muttaqeen

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 185:

185 Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an; as a Guide to (all) mankind, and also clear (Signs) for guidance, and a Criterion (between right and wrong).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 41:

41 Verily We have revealed the Book to thee in Truth for (instructing all) mankind. He then that receives guidance benefits his own soul: but he that strays injures his own soul. Nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 55-57:

55 Is it not (the case) that to Allah belongeth whatever is in the heavens and on earth? Is it not (the case ) that Allah's promise is assuredly true? Yet most of them understand not.

56 It is He Who giveth life, and who taketh it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back.

57 O Mankind! There hath come to you a direction from your Lord, and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts; and for those who believe, a Guidance and a Mercy.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 79-80:

79 Whatever good (O man!) happens to thee is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee is from thy (own) soul. And We have sent thee as a Messenger to (instruct all) mankind: and enough is Allah for a Witness.

80 He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah! But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 170:

170 O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah: believe in him: it is best for you. But if ye reject faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth: and Allah is All-Knowing All-Wise.

If one studies the Glorious Quran in context, one would realize that the Lord Most Gracious ha revealed His Book for the guidance of all mankind….but it is only those who sincerely believe and fear Allah and the Last Day who will truly derive benefit from its guidance.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 2:

2 This (Al-Quran) is the Book; in it is guidance sure without doubt to those who fear Allah.

Although the guidance of the Glorious Quran is for all mankind, if one amongst mankind neither believes in Allah Subhanah, nor in the ‘unseen’, nor in the appointment of Allah’s Messengers, nor does he fear Allah or the Last Day, nor does he intend to pursue piety and righteousness, etc…..it is only obvious that such a person will not derive any guidance from this Glorious Book of the Lord. It is only those fortunate beings who sincerely believe and fear Allah and the Last Day who will derive true guidance from the Glorious Quran.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
