Is Allah available at all times?

Mu` meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah`s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Burhan!

Mubarakbaad from me for such a beautiful forum that you are handling and I really appreciate the way you answer the innumberable querries of people.

My question might sound very stupid, but I need to ask this, because if i am not convinced about the this, it is very difficult for me to ask Allah subhanahu for something. "Allah exists and there is not doubt about this. but is Allah subhanahu only available at the times of namaaz, or is high availability of Allah ensured by way of a mobile (as in case of humans)..." would be very grateful for your reply.. Regards

Answer:

Is Allah available at all times

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The created slave of Allah is indeed closest to his Lord when he is in the state of prayer or specifically in the act of prostration; but the doors of Allah Subhanah are open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week! He is extremely close with each and every one of His creation through His Knowledge, and is well aware of the situation of His creation. Thus, whenever a believing slave wants to call upon His Lord for any of his needs, all he needs to do is call upon Him in humility and in hope. Not only does Allah Subhanah hear the supplications of the suppliant, He is well aware of the deepest secrets of his heart!; for his Merciful Lord is indeed the All Hearing, All Seeing, All Knowing.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186:

And if My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them that I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 50 Surah Qaf verse 16:

It was We (Allah) who created man and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 67 Surah Mulk verse 13:

And whether ye hide your word or publish it He (Allah) certainly has (full) knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 64 Surah Taghabun verse 4:

He (Allah) knows what is in the heavens and on earth: and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yes, Allah knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
