Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalam o alikum

Thank you for your quick reply May allah paak reward u for your efforts . ameen

I want to reconfirm that the marriage is  valid even if the shias and bohras follow the dai and imam .You mean to say that so long these people r reading the kalma e tayyebah  and even though they say what so ever on the sahabas or on other issues , even thay carry on with the mujlis ziaraat , bow before some elderly persons they r among the believers .recently i met an  ismaili and she greeted me with ya ali madaad rather than salam .Brother i am confused

please ,please be more explicit on this issue

as we r having lots of problems with our children these days .Also we learned that the shias and bohras read a different quran in which a few verses r either addad or removed or altered so if this is true how can these people  claim to be believers. This is a very serious matter .please reply in the most expilcit way possible as our childern and my self as a mother need the guidence .

Answer:

Legal and real muslims

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2526 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘Three things are the roots of faith:

  1. to refrain from (killing without just right) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah", and
  2. not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits,
  3. and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action.’

Respected Sister in Islam, any such person who declares belief in the Absolute Oneness of Allah Subhanah and in the appointment of Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, absolutely regardless of their other beliefs or actions or deeds….they will be regarded as legal ‘muslims’ in the Sight of Shariah Law and of the believers.

It is only on the Day of Judgment when the All-Knowing, All-Just Lord Will Declare who amongst them were ‘real’ muslims and who were not.

Thus my beloved sister, absolutely regardless of what other beliefs or deeds or words one might choose to do or say ….as long as one has professed belief in the Absolute Oneness of Allah Subhanah and in the appointment of Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the Last and Final Messenger of Allah (saws)….all such people will be regarded as legal ‘muslims’ in the Sight of Law, and every single right that is due to a ‘muslim’ will be accorded to them in full.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
