I want a child, then I should pray in the last 3rd of the night.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Some friend
told me that there are special times that a person can ask Allah for what s/he
wants, using special names of Allah and the angel who is in duty at that
particular time. e.g Lets say I want a child, then I should pray in the last
3rd of the night, calling Allah with names like Ya Razzaq, and also calling the
Angels who is duty at that time,(God knows how i am supposed to know the name
of such an angel) and also calling upon all the good creatures (Human and Jinn)
to be present during that praying moment so that the dua can be answered as
soon as possible. Is this correct?
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from

Answer:
Best time of make
supplications dua
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people invoke beside Allah those which can
neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors)
with Allah!” (O Prophet (saws)), tell
them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows not in the
heavens, or in the earth?” He is
absolutely free from, and exalted above the ‘shirk’ that they commit.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaf verses 4-6:
O Prophet (saws), say to them, "Have you
ever seen them with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of Allah? Show me
what they have created in the earth? Or have they any share in the creation and
control of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this, or produce some
remnant of knowledge in support of your beliefs if you are truthful." And
who could be further astray than the one who invokes, instead of Allah, those
who cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection. Nay, they are even UNAWARE
THAT THEY ARE BEING INVOKED. And when all mankind shall be gathered together
(on the Day of Qiyamah), they (the so called leaders and intercessors) will
become enemies of those who invoked them and they will disown their worship!!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35Surah
Fatir verses 13-14:
He (Allah) merges night into day, and day into
night, and He has subjected the sun and
the moon (to His Law); each one runs its
course for an appointed term. Such is
Allah, your Lord! To Him belongs all
Dominion. Those whom you invoke besides
Him, do not own even a blade of
grass! If you call them, they cannot hear your prayers! And if they hear, they cannot answer you! And on
the Day of Resurrection, they will
disown your ‘shirk’. None can inform you
of the Truth like the One Who is acquainted with all things.
Beloved Sister in Islam, first and foremost, whatever
lawful one’s heart may desire, one must invoke none but Allah Subhanah Alone if
indeed they believe in Allah and the Last Day!
To invoke anyone or anything with Allah Subhanah in the
unseen, and we reiterate absolutely anyone……. be it the Angels of Allah
Subhanah, or the deceased Prophets of Allah Subhanah, or any amongst the
mankind or Jinns, etc…..would be to commit the absolute abomination and the
unforgivable sin of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of Allah Subhanah!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72:
Whoever commits
‘shirk’ (invoking anything with Allah),
Allah shall forbid for him
Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa
Verse 48
Shirk (associating others with Allah) is
the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases,
sins other than this. For whosoever
associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and
commits the most heinous sin
It is the exclusive Right of Allah Subhanah that He Alone
be invoked and worshipped; if one invokes absolutely anyone or anything in
creation with Allah Subhanah in the unseen, they would be guilty of committing
the absolute abomination and unforgivable crime of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of
Allah Subhanah!
Your Question: Some friend told me
that there are special times that a person can ask Allah for what s/he wants,
using special names of Allah and the angel who is in duty at that particular
time.
Allah is our witness sister, if
you listen to the advice of your friend and invoke the noble Angels of Allah
Subhanah in the unseen (or anyone else in creation for that matter!) for your
desires, you would be guilty of committing the most heinous sin in the Sight of
the Lord Most Supreme, Most Majestic!!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 186:
And if My
servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning
Me, tell them that I am quite near to
them. I hear and answer the prayer of
the suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in
Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 20 Surah
Taha verses 7-8:
Whether you utter your supplications in a loud
voice, (it makes no difference!); for He
(Allah) Knows not only what is said in a low voice, but (knows) also what is kept most
secret! He is Allah! There is no god but He! His are all the Excellent Names.
Every single lawful supplication
that a believer makes unto their Lord Creator is heard and answered by their
Lord Most Gracious; for Allah is indeed All Hearing, All Knowing.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2257 Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
The Prophet (saws) said, "Any Muslim who
makes a supplication containing nothing which is sinful, or which involves
breaking ties of relationship, will be
given for it by Allah one of three things: He will give him swift answer, or
store it up for him in the next world, or turn away from him an equivalent
amount of evil." Those who heard it
said they would then make many supplications and he (saws) replied that Allah
was more ready to answer than they were to ask!
The All Knowing, All Wise Allah
Knows what is good and what is bad for us;
therefore, if one asks for
something lawful and good, Allah will give him/her one of three things:
- Allah will give the believer what he/she has
supplicated for.
- If what the believer is asking is not good or
harmful for the believer in this world,
Allah will store it for him for the world of the Hereafter.
- If what the believer is asking is not good or
harmful for the believer in this world, Allah will turn away from the
believer an equivalent amount of evil.
Nu'man b. Bashir reported that the Prophet
(saws), said, "Verily supplication is worship."
Narrated by Ahmad and Sunan.
Abu Hurairah reported, "The Prophet
(saws) said, "Nothing is more dear to Allah than one's supplication to
Him.''
Narrated by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
Salman reported that the Prophet (saws),
said, "Your Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted One, is Modest and Generous,
and He loathes to turn away His servant empty-handed when he raises his hands
to Him in supplication."
Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban.
Ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet (saws),
said, "If any servant of Allah afflicted with distress or grief makes this
supplication, his supplication will be accepted: 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your
servant, son of your maidservant. My
forehead is in Your hand. Your command
conceming me prevails, and Your decision concerning me is just. I call upon You by every one of the beautiful
names by which You have described Yourself, or which You have revealed in Your
book, or have taught anyone of Your creatures, or which You have chosen to keep
in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur'an the delight of my
heart, the light of my breast, and remover of my griefs, sorrows, and
afflictions'." A supplication in these words will be answered. Allah will remove one's affliction and
replace it with joy and happiness.
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws)
said, "Your supplication will be answered if you are not impatient, and if
you do not say, 'I supplicated but my supplication was not heard'."
Narrated by Malik.
In light of the above Verses of the Glorious Quran and the
various narrations from the Messenger of Allah (saws), it is evident that no lawful supplication one
makes unto their Lord Most Gracious is ever left unanswered.
Although The Lord Most Merciful Listens to and Accepts the
lawful supplications of His believers at absolutely all times (24 hours a day /
7 days a week)….the Messenger of Allah (saws) informed the believers that some ‘times’
and ‘places’ are more opportune than others…..
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.333 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "When it
is the last third of the night, our Lord, The Blessed, The Superior, Descends
every night to the nearest heaven of the world and Declares, 'Is there anyone
who invokes Me that I may respond to his invocation; is there anyone who asks
Me for something that I may give (it to) him; is there anyone who asks My forgiveness
that I may forgive him?'"
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2248 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "There
are three whose supplication is not rejected:
one who has just ended a fast, a just
imam, and one who has been wronged, whose supplication is raised by Allah above
the clouds and for which the gates of Heaven are opened. The Lord says, 'I swear by My Might that I
shall certainly help you, though it be after some time.'"
Abu Umamah reported, "The Prophet (saws)
was asked, 'What supplication finds the greatest acceptance (with Allah
Subhanah)?' He (saws) answered: 'A prayer offered in the middle of the latter
part of the night, and after the prescribed Prayers'.' Related by Tirmidhi.
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws)
said, "The servant is nearest to his Lord when he is prostrating to Him,
so make supplication in this state."
Related by Muslim.
Other times which the Messenger of Allah (saws) said are
considered more opportune for making supplications unto the Lord Most Gracious
are:
- The
day of Arafah
- The
month of Ramadan, during fasts, during its nights, and especially during
the night of ‘Qadr’.
- The
last part of the night.
- At
the break of dawn.
- At
the times of rainfall.
- Between
the time of the ‘adhaan’ and the ‘iqamah’ of each obligatory prayer. Etc.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
