My question is that should they give sacrifice of a lamb to compensate their mistake.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Dear
Burhan Bhai,
Assalam
valekum.
First
of all i would like to congragulate you for your marvellous job and tremendous
efforts in spreading the right knowledge of islam by answering the queries of
our muslim brothers and sisters. Let Allah accept all our good deeds and reward
us with his bounties. Jazakallah Khair.
My
question is: My parents have come to perform Haj this year Insha Allah.
During the Umra, they completed the Tawaf first and after the Tawaf my mother's
health was suddenly upset. The same day they had travelled from Madinah to
Makkah and she is diabetic and hypertensive. As a result she could not perform
the sahi of Safa Marwa and before completing the Umra both of my parents
removed the Ihram. Then they realised the mistake and the next day again
performed Umra after having Ihram from the Meeqath. My question is that should
they give sacrifice of a lamb to compensate their mistake. Please answer
my question as soon as possible. I consulted with some of the local Alim's
here in

Answer:
Left ehraam without umrah
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world
and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble
efforts in the propagation of the Truth.
If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister
get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves
indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful
to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and
pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our
shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the
Hell Fire. Ameen.

Beloved brother in Islam, if one intends to perform the
Umrah or Hajj pilgrimage and gets into the state of ‘ehraam’, it is not
permissible for them in Shariah to come out of the state of ‘ehraam’ except
that they have completed all the obligatory rites of the pilgrimage.
If one is prevented or cannot complete the pilgrimage for
any reason whatsoever and they wish to come out of the state of ‘ehraam’, an
atonement of one sacrifice is prescribed for them in Shariah.
Thus brother, if your mother was unwell and your parents
decided to come out of the state of ‘ehraam’ before they completed their Umrah
pilgrimage, indeed one sacrifice is due from them each as atonement and they
should perform the Umrah again (which apparently they did perform the next
day).
All the scholars and jurists of all the major schools of
thought are unanimous on this opinion.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
