In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: What is fiqh sunnah?

The Arabic term ‘fiqh’ literally means jurisprudence, or the understanding of the science or philosophy of law.

‘Sunnah’ literally means one’s practice or tradition; and when used in the Islamic sense, it means the attribution of words spoken by the Noble Messenger of Allah (saws), and/or the attribution of deeds performed by the Messenger of Allah (saws), and/or also the deeds that were done by another in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (saws), and he (saws) did not raise an objection to those deeds.

Thus when the term ‘Fiqh-us-Sunnah’ is utilized in Islam, it means the Jurisprudence or Law derived from the authentic Sunnah or tradition or guidance of the Last and Final Messenger of Allah (saws).

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
