The
Qu`ran also contains many internal self-contradictions:
- The
heavens and the earth were created by Allah in six days, according to Surahs
7:54, 10:3, 11:7, and 25:59; but it took eight days, according to Surah
41:9-12.

Answer:
Allah created in 6
or 8 days
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraaf verse 54:
54 Your Guardian-Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the
earth in six days and is firmly established on the Throne (of
authority): He draweth the night as a veil over the day each seeking the other in
rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars; (all) governed
by laws under His Command. Is it not
His to create and to govern? Blessed be
Allah, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah
Fusselat verses 9-12:
9 Say: ‘Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two
Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the
Worlds.
10 He set on the (earth) mountains standing firm high above it and
bestowed blessings on the earth and measured therein all things to give them
nourishment in due proportion in four days in accordance with
(the needs of) those who seek (sustenance).
11 Moreover He Comprehended in His design the sky and it had been (as)
smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together willingly or
unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together) in willing
obedience."
12 So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights
and (provided it) with guard. Such is
the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might Full of knowledge.
First and foremost, there is ample evidence in the
Glorious Quran and all the scholars in Islam are absolutely unanimous in their
opinion that the Lord Creator created everything in the heavens and the earth
and everything that exists in it in six days.
In light of the verses of Surah Fusselat, if one simply
adds up the number of days mentioned it comes to eight days, whereas Allah
Subhanah Declares in several places in the Glorious Quran that everything in
existence was created in six days (7:54, 10:3, 11:7, and 25:59). The eminent commentators of the Glorious
Quran have given two opinions regarding these verses of Surah Fusselat:
Opinion 1: The vast majority of the scholars are of the
opinion that the four days mentioned in verse 10 include the two days mentioned
in verse 9 regarding the creation of the earth; add to that the two days
mentioned in verse 12 in creating the seven heavens and the total comes to six
days.
Opinion 2: Some scholars are of the opinion the creation
of the earth is included in the two days it took to create the seven heavens
(verse 12), and add to that the four days taken to create everything in it
(verse 10) makes a total of six days.
Their opinion is based on the fact that the seven heavens imply the
whole universe, and the earth is only but a part of the universe. What exact development works were carried
out in the Universe in the four days after its creation in two days have not
been mentioned; for not to speak of the man of the period when the Quran was
being revealed, even the man of the present age does not have the capacity or
capability to digest and assimilate the information of what exactly is present
or prevalent in only even our solar system, which incidently is only a part of
the first or nearest heaven!
Either way, there is absolutely no doubt in light of the
guidance of the Holy Quran, that the Lord Creator created everything in
existence in the Universe in a total of six days.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
