I want to know these names are OK and what are their meanings. Are the first and the last names compatible:

SANA MURTAZA

Thanks

Answer:

Meaning of names

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The term ‘Shazeb’ or more accurately ‘Shah-zeb’ is derived from the Farsi or Persian language; ‘Shah’ meaning King, and ‘Zeb’ meaning beauty…thus ‘Shahzeb’ in effect meaning the ‘King of beauty’.

The Arabic term ‘Ahmad’ literally means the one who constantly praises, and the Arabic term ‘Murtaza’ (or more accurately ‘Murtadha’) means one who is chosen or liked.

All the above names have good meanings and are thus fine and acceptable in Islam; and there is absolutely no issue in Islam on the compatibility of good names, regardless of whether they are first or last names.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
