Answer:
Meaning of Abde Ali
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The Arabic term ‘Abd’ means a slave, thus ‘Abde-Ali’ would
mean the slave of Ali.
It is neither righteousness nor in alignment with the
guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) that one claim eternal slavery to
any being except the One and Only Lord All-Mighty Who created everything in
existence; for indeed every thing in creation is without an iota of a doubt a
‘slave’ to Allah Subhanah and His Laws Alone.
To claim eternal slavery to any being or thing other than
Allah Subhanah Alone would be to elevate the person or thing to whom one claims
slavery to the rank and status of the Lord Creator, and such a claim would be
considered a manifestation of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of the Lord Most High.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
