Does Allah and satan have the same powers that people go to them during thier life.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's
Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
does Allah and satan have the same powers
that people go to them during thier life
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:
Shaytaan have same powers as Allah
In the name of Allah, We
praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah
guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide
them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant
and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and Beloved Brother
in Islam, rest assured that every iota of Power and Strength there is, is with
none save Allah Subhanah, The Lord, Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher of this
Universe! None, and I reiterate, none
save Allah Subhanah Alone is the Possessor of all, absolute, total, and
complete Power!
The Shaytaan on the
other hand is one amongst the creation of the Jinn or mankind who has chosen to
disobey his Lord Creator; thus the ‘power’ of the Shaytaan is limited to the
power that the Possessor of All Power has Himself bestowed as a test to the
Jinn or man! The Shaytaan by himself
does not possess any power at all!!!
Thus if truth be told,
even if all of the Shayateen from amongst the Jinns and all of mankind were to
combine their ‘powers’ together, Allah is our witness, they would be
absolutely, totally, utterly, and hopelessly powerless in front of the Supreme
Power and Strength of the One Lord Who Created everything in existence!
Allah Says in
the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibraheem verse 22: And the Shaytaan will say when the matter (on the Day) is decided :
"It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I
failed in my promise to you. I had
no authority over you except to call you, but ye listened to me: then reproach
not me but reproach your own souls!
I cannot listen to your cries nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me
with Allah. For wrongdoers there must be
a Grievous Penalty."
The absolute maximum the
Shayateen from amongst the Jinn or mankind may do is to invite or call one to
disobey their Lord and do their evil bidding…and not even an iota more! If one amongst creation is beguiled by their
evil invitation and call, and corrupts his own soul by listening to their call,
then he alone is responsible for his response to the evil invitation of the
Shaytaan.
The evil and accursed
enemy of man, the Shaytaan, will himself declare his absolute and total lack of
power and authority over anyone on the Day of Judgment! All he could ever do and did was to invite
and call people towards falsehood, and the deniers and weak of faith fell for
his false promises! In the Court of
Allah on the Day of Judgment, this evil and accursed Shaytaan will try to
absolve himself of any wrongdoing and tell those who followed his evil bidding
to reproach their own souls in disgust, dismay, regret and sorrow and put no
blame on him whatsoever, for he had absolutely no authority over any one!
The only ‘power’ the
Lord Most Supreme has bestowed on His Creation from amongst the Jinn and
Mankind is the ‘power’ one has over one’s own self or will! Each individual has been bestowed with the
‘power’ or free will to choose between obedience and disobedience to the guidance
of their Lord for a short period of one life as a test from their Lord. Those who submit their will to the Will of
their Lord Creator will pass the test of life and be rewarded with the Lord’s
Mercy and Forgieness; and those who choose to deny their Lord the submission
that He Deserves, they will fail the test of life and will be punished
according to their level of their disobedience.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me alone. Allah Alone
Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
