Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

As salam alaikum brother,

I m the same person who earlier asked a question (Question No.3759) are Jinns capable of impregnating humans? Your reply was no! Thankyou for the answer may Allah reward you equally. However, there are some places in Quran where I read that Jinns share family & property with humans. Also in some places Quran says that in Jannah we will get those who are untouched by man or jinni. This could mean that jinns have capability to touch us or may be impregnate. This is not a question of my satisfaction from your answer but there is a live example of this incident. My cousin claims that she has been impregnated by a Jinn and there is no way I can doubt her (that she is lying). Alhamdullilah we are practicing muslims (including my cousin) and we trust in Allah & his messenger first. So how can muslims avoid these unseen forces troubling them?

Jazak allah!

ur brother in Islam,

Ahmed.

Answer:

Jinn Pregnant Woman

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: are Jinns capable of impregnating humans?

The Jinns are a distinct creation of Allah who have their own test of life ordained for them by Allah Subhanah, and they too will have a full accounting of their deeds on the Day of Judgment like the humans.

Just as human beings cannot impregnate female Jinns, it is absolutely impossible and illogical to even assume that Jinns can impregnate humans!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 114 Surah An-Naas verses 4-6:

4 (Say: I seek refuge in Allah ) from the mischief of the whisperer (of Evil) who withdraws (after his whisper)

5 (The same) who whispers into the hearts of mankind

6 Among Jinns, and among men.

In light of the above clear guidance of the Quran, the absolute maximum the Jinn has the power to do is to whisper some evil into the hearts of men, and inspire man to commit some evil! They have absolutely no power to help or hurt any human being, nor do they have the power to possess a human being, and they absolutely cannot impregnate a human being under any circumstances!!!

Your Statement: However, there are some places in Quran where I read that Jinns share family & property with humans.

To the best of our knowledge and understanding there is absolutely nothing in the Quran that even implies that the Jinns share our family or property. If you could kindly give us the exact Surah and Verse number of the Quran where you read that Jinns share family and property with humans, we would revert back to you with our humble comments.

Your Statement: Also in some places Quran says that in Jannah we will get those who are untouched by man or jinni. This could mean that jinns have capability to touch us or may be impregnate.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 55 Surah Rahmaan verses 54-57:

54 They (the people of Paradise) will recline on Carpets whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).

55 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

56 In them will be (Maidens) Chaste, restraining their glances; whom no man or Jinn before them has touched

57 Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?

Beloved Brother, if one reads the above Surah Rahmaan in context, one would realize that both, the creation of Jinn and the humans, are addressed together throughout the whole Surah.

Like the Human beings, even the Jinns are involved in a test by their Lord; and just like the human beings, the righteous amongst the Jinn would also be rewarded with Paradise by their Lord Most Bounteous.

Thus when Allah Declares in Verse 56 above that in Paradise will be Chaste and Virgin Maidens whom no man or Jinn before them has ever touched; in the context of the Surah it only implies that the maidens that Allah Subhanah has created as rewards for the righteous humans will not have ever be touched by another human before them, and the maidens that Allah Subhanah has created for the righteous Jinns would not have been touched by another Jinn before them!

If one believes or has any doubt regarding the non-impregnation of humans by the Jinns, the below story of Hadrat Maryam as related by Allah Subhanah in His Glorious Quran would completely nullify their belief:

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verses 16-22:

16 Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.

17 She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them: then We sent to her Our Angel and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

18 She said: "I seek refuge from thee in (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."

19 He (the Angel) said: "Nay I am only a messenger from thy Lord (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son."

20 She said: "How shall I have a son seeing that no ‘bashar’ (human being) has touched me and I am not unchaste?"

21 He said: "So (it will be): thy Lord saith `That is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': it is a matter (so) decreed."

22 So she conceived him (Christ Jesus (a.s.)) and she retired with him to a remote place.

When the Noble Angel Jibrael (a.s.) informed Hadrat Maryam that Allah had gifted her a Holy Son of miraculous birth, Hadrat Maryam immediately asked ‘how shall I have a son seeing that no ‘bashar’ (human being) has touched me’ ! If nature had ever willed or allowed a Jinn to impregnate human beings, the Glorious Quran would have clarified that neither human nor Jinn had touched her!

Your Statement: My cousin claims that she has been impregnated by a Jinn and there is no way I can doubt her (that she is lying).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa verse 122:

The promise of Allah is True, and who can be Truer in his Word than Allah?

Dear and beloved brother in Islam, your cousin claims that she has been impregnated by a Jinn; and the Lord Most High absolutely refutes the notion in His Glorious Quran that a human being can ever be impregnated by a Jinn (or vice versa)! Without any disrespect to your cousin and your belief in her truthfulness, the simple decision you now have to make is whose word or claim has a bigger right to the Truth: your cousins or Allah’s??

Beloved brother, in light of the guidance of the Glorious Quran and the authentic Sunnah, there is absolutely no way that a Jinn can impregnate a human being (or vice versa)! Your cousin is either involved in a complete and utter misunderstanding, or is trying to hide something which her Lord has Willed to manifest through her pregnancy; and Allah Alone Knows Best and He Alone is the Disposer of all affairs.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
