Answer:

Is divorce permissible in Islam?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Is in worst case divosce is sinable ????

Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, Allah Subhanah has permitted the believers to marry of their choice; and if for a valid reason, the two of them do not wish to live their lives together, Islam has allowed the two of them to separate through divorce. If one has a valid reason for divorce, regardless of whether the divorce is initiated by the husband or the wife, there is no sin upon them; but if one divorces for a petty or invalid reason, indeed it would be considered a sin in Islam.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2173 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘Of all the lawful acts the most detestable to Allah is divorce.’

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2218 Narrated by Thawban

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘If any woman asks her husband for divorce without some strong reason, the odour of Paradise will be forbidden to her.’

Islam strongly encourages the believers to protect their marriage under all circumstances, but Islam also recognizes that humans are not like animals who can be compelled to live with each other even if they do not wish to do so; thus Islam has permitted and allowed the believing couple who find it absolutely impossible to live with each other within the bounds of marriage, as an absolute and last resort, to separate by divorce, if they sincerely wish to do so. And even in divorce, the believers are commanded to fear Allah Subhanah, and be kind, humble, and generous to their ex-spouse in separation.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 231: When ye divorce women and they fulfil the term of their (`Iddat) either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them or to take undue advantage; if anyone does that He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest but solemnly rehearse Allah's favors on you and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom for your instruction. And fear Allah and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
