Answer:
In the
name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray,
none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no
person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Beloved
and dear Sister in Islam, may Allah Subhanah increase your quest to understand
the meaning of this Glorious Message from our Lord and Creator, open yours and
our hearts to comprehend its message, help you and us, have mercy upon you and
us, and give you and us the courage and the wisdom to obey and follow each and
every command of our Merciful Lord and Creator.
Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185:Ramadan is the
month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for
mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 89: We have
sent down to you this Book, which makes everything plain, and is a guidance, blessing and good news to those who have
surrendered themselves entirely.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 99: We
have sent down to you Revelations that clearly expound the Truth, and none but the disobedient reject them.
My
beloved and dear Sister in Islam, we must remember and realize that it is our
Lord and Creator Himself Who has revealed This Book for our guidance. If we could only imagine our state, when in
His Just and Supreme Court on that Inevitable Day, we say that we did not
understand His Message? Or that we did
not think that it was important to understand His Revealed Message? Or that we did not even strive to understand
His Revealed Message?
If today,
a simple Governor, or King, or President of a country were to send us a letter
in a foreign language, would we not go to the nearest person who could
translate it for us? Does not the
Message of our Lord and Creator deserve even this repect?

My
beloved and dear Sister in Islam, Allah has blessed most of us to be literate,
read and write, and understand computers, and technology, and books and
magazines on various issues; but we find it difficult to understand this simple
and clear Message of our Lord!
Especially when the All Knowing, All-Wise Lord Who revealed this Message
Himself declares that it is easy to understand!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiya verse 10: We have
sent down to you a Book, which deals
with matters concerning yourselves. What? Do you not understand this?
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 1-3: All
praise is for Allah Alone, Who has sent
down this Book to His Servant (Mohamed (saws),
and assigned nothing crooked to it. This Book says everything directly, so that he may warn the people of the severe
chastisement of Allah and give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they will have an excellent reward.
Most of
us have been through eight hours a day, five days a week, for at least 10-15
years of school so that we could understand language, and literature, and
geography, and mathematics, and biology, etc.
How much time have we spent in trying to understand the Message of our
Lord?
My
beloved and dear Sister in Islam, the real issue here is not that we do not
possess the ‘ability’ to understand the Quran; but whether we have the
‘willingness’ to start the process of opening our hearts to its understanding
or not! And as the saying goes, where
there is a ‘will’, there will always be a way!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 125: Those whom Allah Wills to guide He opens their breast to Islam;
those whom He Wills to leave straying, He makes their breast close and
constricted as if they had to climb up to the skies! Thus does Allah (heap) the penalty on those
who refuse to believe.
If only
we could understand and comprehend that the success or failure of our complete,
unending, everlasting and eternal life of the Hereafter is dependant on our
following His Guidance, we would not dare to take this task so causally!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verses 43-44: So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed
to you, you are surely on the Siraat al
Mustaqeem. The fact is that this book is
a great honor for you and your people,
and soon you shall be CALLED TO ACCOUNT for it.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.502 Narrated
by Abu Huraira
The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah, The High and Exalted He is,
says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he
thinks I can do for him), and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too,
remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember
him in a group that is better than they (Angels); and if he comes one span nearer
to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I
go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me
walking, I go to him running.' "
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186: And
if My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them that I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the
suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in
Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!
My
beloved and dear Sister in Islam, we urge you to read the translation of the
Quran in the language you understand best, even if only once in your lifetime;
so that you may comprehend the Message that our Merciful Lord has revealed for
our guidance. Beloved sister before you
start, seek the help of your Merciful Lord, beg Him to have mercy on you,
beseech him in all humility to guide you, and implore him earnestly to open
your heart to the understanding of His Glorious Message. It you have the willingness to truly understand
and follow His Guidance, and sincerely strive in your effort to learn this
Knowledge of Truth; it is expected that the Merciful Lord will open His doors
of guidance for you, Insha Allah.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verse 76: And Allah does indeed advance in guidance those who seek guidance,
and the things that endure. Good Deeds are best in the sight of thy Lord as
rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual returns.
Whatever
written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance,
and whatever of error is of me. Allah
Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
