Answer:

Read Quran in English

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Beloved brother in Islam, if one is reciting the Glorious Quran, then it would be best if one recites it in the exact and original language of its Revelation; that is, Arabic. If one does not know the Arabic language, then one must strive to learn this language; and try his best to recite it in Arabic. There is absolutely no sin on the person if he genuinely and unintentionally makes a mistake while reciting the Quran; in fact, according to an authentic tradition of the Messenger of Allah (saws), such a person will receive a double reward from the Merciful Lord for his exertion and striving to learn the Quran.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.459 Narrated by Aisha

The Prophet (saws) said, "Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person who exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."

Allah is Most Merciful, Most Forgiving. If a person exerts himself to memorize the Holy Quran, or recites it with great difficulty, because he does not know Arabic or for any other reason, but does so only for the love and pleasure of Allah, will have a double reward from Allah Subhanah. Allah is indeed Great!

But if one does not know the Arabic language at all, and is striving and exerting himself in learning the language, and in the process recites the Holy Quran in English transliteration; there is absolutely no harm, and it is expected that the Merciful Lord will reward him fully and appropriately for his deeds.

Besides the recitation of the Quran, it is also imperative that the believers understand what they are reciting from the Holy Quran, so that they can obey and follow the teachings and commands of their Merciful Lord. There is absolutely no harm and he will earn a huge reward from the Merciful Lord if one tries to understand the teachings and guidance of the Divine Message in any language he understands best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
