Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Sir,

I start this e-mail with Islaming Greeting As Salaam Malekum Waramatulla hai wa Barakato...

May god bless all of you who ever is involved in running this forum. let me tell you that you have come up and taken such a huge step of showing the path of Islam, which is very simple but very complicate to understand if somebody does not want to understand the true deen. Well after reading your sabaks and answers to questions asked by our other brothers its very clear that all this years I was following something which is not connected to Islam, and was bowing down to human beings, giving them equal respect or even more than allah which is not allowed in true islam. I have few questions in my mind hope you will reply them in the light of true Islam.

Shirk : All this years I was not following the true deen which in other word was I was committing SHIRK, is there any thing I have to do in order allah forgives me for not obeying him and doing all this unislamic thing before.

Ghusl: I do not know exact procedure & Dua of ghusl and if this is not performed properly I am not PAK. the procedure which I know is a) Take a full bath as usual with soap & water b) Then again take a full shower with dua "bismillah hir rahmahi raheem, Ash hado an lal ila ha .... C) Then take a niyat 3 times, "Allah humma inni ak tasalloh le ghul lil hitlame bismillah he allah ho akbar" and do Waju as usual d) Then agin take a full shower with above dua "Allah humma inni ak tasalloh le ghul lil hitlame bismillah he allah ho akbar"

Please provide me with completed dua and procedure of Ghusl in detail.

While performing Namaz, as the mind is not completing involed in it, only physically and by mouth its happening, the mind thinks of other thinks like business/realtionship or something which happened recently (I cannot explain deeply this) the mind id not stable in performing namaz which I don't want to happen as while I am praying I want to fully concentrate on it,  if possible do also let me is there any way to stop this Finally, Keep up the great work, & Thanks a lot for everything. Answer:

Taubah, Gusl & Prayers

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and who-ever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Comment: May god bless all of you who ever is involved in running this forum. let me tell you that you have come up and taken such a huge step of showing the path of Islam, which is very simple but very complicate to understand if somebody does not want to understand the true deen. All praise is due to Allah Alone who has guided us and honored us to become ‘muslims’. It is indeed the biggest Mercy and Grace of Allah that He has guided us in this life, for without His Guidance, we would have been astray and utterly destroyed. You are absolutely right when you say Islam is easy to understand and follow for those who want to be guided aright; and almost impossible for those to comprehend who insist on following the wrong ways of their forefathers, and the deen they were born in. The problem is that these brothers have just never understood, or are not allowed to understand, the clear guidance of the Holy Quran. These unsuspecting souls have been told time and again by their so-called leaders that the Quran is full of complications and riddles, and they will never be able to understand its ‘true’ meanings. That is the main reason these brothers insist on turning away from the clear guidance of the Quran, and blindly follow the deen they were born in.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Ha Meem As Sajdah verses 4-5: Yet most of these people have turned away from it (The Quran), and they pay no heed. They say, “Our hearts are covered with veils from that to which you are calling us; our ears have become deaf; and between us and you there is a curtain, so do as you please, and we shall do as we will!”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 82: But if they turn away, your only responsibility is to convey the plain Message of Truth! They recognize the blessing of Allah, yet they deny it, for the majority of them are not inclined to accept the Truth!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 170-171: When it is said to them, “Follow the Commands that Allah has sent down”, they reply, “We will follow only what we found our forefathers practicing.” Well, will they go on following their forefathers even though they did not use common sense and did not find the Right Way! The mental condition of those who rejected the way of Allah may be likened to that of the cattle whom the shepherd calls but they hear nothing except the sound of shouts and cries. They are deaf, they are dumb, they are blind; therefore they do not understand anything.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 21: And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they say, “We shall only follow that upon which we found our forefathers.” What! Will they still be following them even if Shaitaan had been calling them to the raging Fire?

It is indeed the Mercy of Allah, Who has made our humble and weak efforts a ‘sabab’ for your guidance. We ask for no reward or appreciation from our readers, but if what we have done has benefited you in any way to become a better muslim, we urge you to include us in your prayers and beg our Lord to forgive us our sins and our shortcomings, have mercy on us, and save us all from the Hell Fire.

May Allah guide our brethren to read the Glorious Quran with understanding, so that they too can leave the invocation, worship and bowing down to man and graves, and come to the invocation and worship of the One Lord and Creator of everything that exists.

Your Question: Shirk : All this years I was not following the true deen which in other word was I was committing SHIRK, is there any thing I have to do in order Allah forgives me for not obeying him and doing all this unislamic thing before.

Our Compassionate and Beneficent Lord is so Merciful, that all you need to do is ask for His Forgiveness, and He will, Insha Allah, forgive all your past sins. This is how magnanimous is the Mercy of our Merciful Lord, Allah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 53: (O Prophet) say, “O My servants, who have wronged their own souls: Do not despair of Allah’s Mercy; surely Allah forgives all sins. He is indeed the All Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqaan verses 68-71: (The true servants of the Merciful are those) who do not invoke any god but Allah; nor kill a soul unjustly, which Allah has forbidden; nor commit adultery. He who does this shall be punished for his sin, and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection and he shall abide in a state of ignominy. Except the one who may have repented (after those sins) and have believed and done righteous deeds; for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds. He is very Forgiving and Merciful. In fact, the one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one rightly should.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 17-18: Note it well that Allah’s acceptance of repentance is for those people only, who commit an evil in ignorance, and then repent of it soon after. Allah again turns kindly to such people, for Allah is All Knowing, All Wise. But there is no repentance for those people who persist in their evil deeds until the dying hour comes to anyone of them; then he says, “Now I repent!.” Nor is repentance for them who die as unbelievers. For such people, We have prepared a painful torment.

Thus brother, all you need to do is have remorse and regret at the deeds that you did in ignorance, beg Allah for repentance and forgiveness, do good righteous deeds according to the commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and make a solemn pact and covenant with Allah that you will never ever turn back to those days of ignorance. You will Insha Allah find Allah very Forgiving and Merciful, Who has promised in His Glorious Book that not only will he forgive those sins, but change those bad deeds into good deeds! Glorified and Exalted is Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Your Question: Ghusl: I do not know exact procedure & Dua of ghusl and if this is not performed properly I am not PAK. the procedure which I know is a) Take a full bath as usual with soap & water b) Then again take a full shower with dua "Bismillah hir rahmahi raheem, Ash hado an lal ila ha ....c) Then take a niyat 3 times, "Allah humma inni ak tasalloh le ghul lil hitlame bismillah he allah ho akbar" and do Waju as usual d) Then agin take a full shower with above dua "Allah humma inni ak tasalloh le ghul lil hitlame bismillahhe allah ho akbar" Please provide me with completed dua and procedure of Ghusl in detail.

We are commanded by Allah Subhanah to follow the Messenger of Allah (saws) in everything he did. This is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saws) when performing ghusl.

Make intention in your heart that you want to purify yourself for the pleasure of Allah. (There is no particular dua, just an intention in the heart is enough.)

Say, “Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem” and do your wudu. (Again, there is no particular dua from the Prophet for washing each part of the body. He would just say, ‘Bismillah…..’)

Then have a full shower or bath, and run the water through every part of your body making sure nothing is left dry.

The above is the Sunnah or Way of the Prophet (saws) while performing ‘ghusl’. There are no particular duas that the Prophet used to recite, except to start with ‘Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem’, and if one intends to follow the Sunnah he should do the ‘ghusl’ as the Prophet (saws) did it.

If for any reason, one just makes intention of ghusl, and then has a full shower or bath (without doing the wudu first), he will be considered ‘taher’ or ‘pak’, and available to offer his prayers.

Your Question: While performing Namaz, as the mind is not completing involed in it, only physically and by mouth its happening, the mind thinks of other thinks like business/realtionship or something which happened recently (I cannot explain deeply this) the mind is not stable in performing namaz which I don't want to happen as while I am praying I want to fully concentrate on it,  if possible do also let me is there any way to stop this.

I know exactly what you mean. The more God-consciousness or ‘taqwa’ we will develop in our heart, the more we will be able to concentrate in the prayers. Although there is no other measure to stop this, there are many things which one can do to reduce this and concentrate on the prayers.

Try to imagine that you are in actual correspondence and in the audience of the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth and everything that exists!

If you cannot bring yourself to that state, at least remember that Allah is watching over you. This will create an awe in your heart about being in the presence and audience of Allah while in your prayers.

Try to understand the meanings of the words you are reciting while praying. (I have written the whole namaaz translation as an answer to a brother’s question on the forum and would be glad to forward that to you.) When you understand what you are saying in the Praise of the Merciful Allah, it will really help you concentrate in the prayers.

The truth is brother, that Shaitaan tries to dissuade the believers from not offering the prayers at all and creates confusion and doubts in our minds. When he is not successful at stopping the believers from praying to their Lord, he tries to put in thoughts in the mind while praying. Once you recognize Shaitaan’s tactics, and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaitaan whenever it happens, you will be able to concentrate in the prayers.

But in any case, you should not feel dis-heartened at this state. Be rest assured, that you are praying for the sole reason that it is the command of Allah, and to gain His Pleasure. Allah will never let a good deed done by a believer for His Pleasure, go in waste. He will Insha Allah accept your prayers and reward you generously.

Your Comment: Finally, Keep up the great work, & Thanks a lot for everything.

All Praise is due to Allah Alone, who has blessed this humble and weak effort of ours. If what we have said on this forum has benefited you in any way, we implore you to remember us in your supplications to Allah, that He give us the patience, wisdom and courage to carry on this noble work until the last breath leaves our bodies, and we return back to our Lord in a state that He is pleased with us. Ameen.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
