right now i'm reading 'tafhimul' 'Qur'an' translated by moulana moudoodi rahmtlh. let me finish this. and what is this dawoodibohra is it a sect like other group? i know our recognition is islam & muslim.

Reading Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Brother, if I may humbly say; the translation ‘tahfeemul Quran’ by Syed Maududi which you have chosen to read, in my humble opinion, is probably one of the best available translations of the Holy Quran. May Allah reward the author for his works and for his service to the Cause of Islam. The way this author has translated the Holy Quran in plain and simple language, makes this Divine Book within the easy reach of a normal human being.

May Allah bless you to read and understand the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran and open your heart to the understanding of this Glorious Book.

The Dawoodi Bohra is indeed an off-shoot or a sub-sect of the Shia-Fatemi school of thought. The only reason we have named our forum as dawoodibohrahelpline.com is that all the brothers who voluntarily work at this forum were born into the Dawoodi Bohra sect. At various times of their lives, Allah guided all of them to read and understand the Holy Quran. They have all now left the following of any sect, and have come to be known as muslims in light of the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran. And we have made it a duty to invite our Dawoodi Bohra brethren to read and understand the Holy Quran ( which they are not allowed to in the Bohra faith), so that they too can leave all the practices which are against the commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and come to the true deen of Islam.

We absolutely agree with your comment, and we confirm that the only recognition of a believer should be Islam, and they should be honored to be called and recognized by the name that Allah Subhanah has Himself chosen for the believers: ‘muslims’. We bear witness that we are muslims and have submitted our will to the Will of Allah, as commanded by Allah in the Glorious Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 77-78:O you who have believed, do ‘rukooh’ (bow down) and do ‘sajdah’ (prostration), and worship your Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true success! Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service, and has not laid on you any hardship in your religion. Therefore, be steadfast in the religion of your father Abraham. Allah had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you (muslims) in this Quran also, so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you, and you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
