What if Allahs message did not reach any person?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Dear Brother Burhan, Salaam
I have always thought about people who never got the word of Allah because they happened to be born in a family of non-believers in a
far off place, in a mountain or a jungle, and NEVER KNEW that there is Quran in existance. What about these people who during their whole lives practised what they believed was right. And since they never knew of the existence of the Quran, they also did not know that they are supposed to go out seek the truth.

grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not

Answer:
What if Allah’s message did not reach any person?
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He
allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there
is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!)
worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is
His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah
Israa verse 15:Whosoever adopts the righteous way, his righteous conduct will
be for his own good; and whosoever goes astray, his deviation shall brings its
consequences on himself. No bearer of
burden will bear the burden of another.
And We do not inflict punishment until
We have sent a Messenger (to the people).
In light of the guidance of the Holy Quran, Allah has
given us the principle or foundation of His Justice. He will never inflict a punishment on a people, unless He has
sent to them a Messenger who guides them to the Straight Path of Allah.
But, for arguments sake, lets assume that one is born and
lived all his life in the mountains or jungles, and he genuinely never ever
received the Message of Allah. In light
of the above aayah, it is the promise of Allah that He will not inflict
punishment until He has sent them the Message. Thus the case will be presented before Allah, and it is expected
that Allah Subhanah will not do any injustice to this person who never ever
received the Message of Allah.
The truth is brother, that in today’s times, the Message
is available to anyone who wants to listen to good caution and to anyone who
wants to use his commonsense to determine the Truth from the falsehood. The reason the people who have chosen not to
believe, is not because they have not received the Message, but because they
have insisted on following the ‘deen’ of their forefathers. They have not believed because they have
found it easier and more convenient to live their lives without any fear of
accountability in the Hereafter. They
have not believed because they have learnt to separate their lives from their
religion. They find it easier to attend
only the most important occasions in their mosques, and temples, and churches,
and synagogues, and leave the proceedings of the hereafter in the hands of
their unscrupulous priests; who have promised them that they will help save
them in the hereafter in exchange for some paltry worldly gains. The people have found this arrangement with
the priests a convenient way of gaining both, this world, and the hereafter!
Little do they realize that all the false hopes and
delusions and the guarantees by their holy men will amount to nothing in the
Court of Allah, where the only thing that will have any value are the good
deeds done on this earth! With this convenient
arrangements with their unscrupulous holy men, they might be successful in this
world; but for sure they will lose the
eternal and ever lasting life of the hereafter! On that day, such people will have nothing but regrets and
ignominy.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah
verse 170-171:When it is said to them, “Follow the Commands that Allah has sent
down”, they reply, “We will follow only what we found our forefathers
practicing.” Well, will they go on following their forefathers
even though they did not use common sense and did not find the Right Way! The mental condition of those who rejected
the way of Allah may be likened to that of the cattle whom the shepherd calls
but they hear nothing except the sound of shouts and cries. They are deaf, they are dumb, they are
blind; therefore they do not understand
anything.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah
Ahzab verse 66-68:On the Day their faces are rolled about on the Fire, they
will say, “Would that we had obeyed Allah and His Messenger!” And they will say, “O our Lord, we obeyed our CHIEFS and our GREAT MEN, and
they led us astray from the Right Path.
O our Lord, give them a double
chastisement and curse them severely”.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anam verse 94:(And Allah will say), “So, you have come before Us all alone, as
We created you at first. Now, you have
left behind all that We gave you in the world.
Now We do not see with you those ‘shufa’a’(intercessors), who, you
believed, had a share in molding your destinies! All the relations between you and them have been cut off, and all
those, in whom you trusted, have left you in the lurch.”
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah
Yunus verse 66:Note it well that all the dwellers of the heavens and the earth
belong to Allah. And those who invoke
partners besides Allah, follow nothing but surmises and merely indulge in
guess-works!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

and well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
