In Surah 5 Verse 3 Allah says it is forbidden...
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
In Surah 5 Verse 3 Allah says it is forbidden to you on which Allah's name has not been mentioned while slaughtering. If a muslim forgot to mention Allah's name while slaughtering can we consume it ? Salaams.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Brother if a Muslim intended to make a sacrifice and he forgot to pronounce Allah swt name while making the slaughter, there would be no sin and the meat would be halaal for all to consume.
There is no sin in one who forgets. The intention is what matters. This is one of the greatest Mercies Allah swt has bestowed on His slaves.
But if one has no intention to make the sacrifice in Allah swt name, then that meat will be haraam for all believers to consume.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
