Last companion

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

According to the best available historical sources, the last companion of the Prophet to die was Hadrat Abu at-Tufail Aamir ibn Waathilah al-Layhee (r.a.) who reportedly died in the year 110 Hijra and is related in Fath al-Baari by Haafith ibn Hajr.

The last companion to die in Madinah-al-Munawwara was Hadrat Muhammad ibn ar-Rabi’ah al-Ansaree al-Khazrajee (r.a.) who reportedly died in the year 99H.
