What Allah (swt) wills cannot be undone by anyone

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

This is Raza Hussain, belongs to Larkana city Sindh. For last two years I am in severe trouble & I couldnt find out solution yet.

Alhamdulilla I belong to Jamat-ul-Mulimeen so being a Muslim I can not decide that what should i do to solve this problem, because now a days wrong beliefs have been spread in our society rapidly & I dont want to become a part of such groups. In this regard i am looking for a proper guidance according to the Quran Majeed teachings.

For last seven years I am working with a private company, now I have been realized that private companies has no future or benefits for their employees, so I started taking sincere efforts to get a government job, I applied in several departments & gave many interviews & during two years I got many final phone calls from these departments that you have been selected for so & so post, Congratulation, but after few days when I expect appointment letter for my job, suddenly the news spread that that company or department has rejected these jobs due to so & so causes.

This same procedure has been repeated with me with different causes more then five times during these two years.

Now I am confused to understand this situation that Allah almighty has put me in AZMAISH or is it kind of JADOO TONA that is spoiling my matters constantly.

Kindly guide me in the light of Qaran Majeed & Sunnah.

What Allah (swt) wills cannot be undone by anyone

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 155-157:

155    Be sure We shall test you with something of fear, and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.

156    Who say when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong and to Him is our return."

157    They are those on whom (descend) blessings from Allah and Mercy and they are the ones that receive guidance.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 30:

30      Verily thy Lord doth provide sustenance in abundance for whom He Pleaseth and He provideth in a just measure: for He doth know and regard all His servants.

Dear and Beloved Brother, it is Allah Subhanah Who provided for all His servants as He Pleases and Wills.  To some He provides in abundance, and to some He provides in strict measure; and thus involves all mankind in a test. Your condition is no more than a trial from your Lord, and if you are patient and keep your full trust and belief in Him, He will provide for you from His Abundant and Unlimited Bounties.

There is absolutely no doubt that Allah Subhanah has Decreed a set of tests of each amongst mankind for a period of one short transient life time on this earth.  Man has absolutely no control on the quality, quantity, or the severity of the test bestowed and Decreed upon him by His All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord; what man does have control over, and what each amongst mankind will be responsible for in the Majestic Presence of his All-Just Lord is what did he do in the tests and conditions laid upon him by His Lord.

Whether one strikes a deal which earns him millions of dollars, or one looses everything one possesses in a split-second; both are in a test: one to see whether he is grateful to his Lord for the favors bestowed upon him or does he get proud and arrogant at his success, and the other to see whether he is patient in his adversity or gets impatient and despairs of the Lords infinite Mercy and Grace!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 286:

286    On no soul doth Allah place a burden greater than it can bear.  It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray): "Our Lord! condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.  Blot out our sins and grant us forgiveness.  Have mercy on us.  Thou art our Protector; help us against those who stand against faith."

It is nothing but the Unending Mercy and Grace of the All-Wise, All-Knowing Lord that He does not bestow a test or a burden on anyone more than one can bear!

Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, there is absolutely no doubt that your condition is no more than a test laid upon your Lord to see what His believing slave does when put in a certain condition.  Indeed, my beloved brother, accept this as nothing more than a passing test of life, be grateful for all the favors your Lord has provided you and your family, put your complete trust and belief in the Power and Strength of your Lord Most Merciful, and above all be patient in your adversity and believe with absolute conviction that your Lord is well aware of your condition and supplicate and invoke none except Him to relieve you of your affliction.

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 7.565 Narrated byAbdullah

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: No Muslim is afflicted with any harm, but that his sins will be annulled just as the leaves of a tree fall down."

Suhaib ibn Sinan narrated that the Prophet (saws) said: "How remarkable is the case of the believer!  There is good for him in everything, but this is not the case for anyone except for the believer!  When the believer receives any good, he is thankful to Allah, and gets a reward; and when some misfortune befalls him, he endures it patiently, for which he is (also) rewarded."

Beloved Brother, be patient in the trial your Lord has chosen for you, never ever despair or lose hope of His Unending Benevolence and Mercy towards His believing slaves, and remain constant in your invocation and supplication to Him and Him Alone and implore none but Him Alone to make your trial easy for you, and relieve from you your affliction in the most honorable and best manner.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 79 Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab

Umar heard the Prophet (saws) say: 'If you put your faith completely in Allah, He will arrange for your sustenance in the same way as He provides for the birds. They go out in the morning with their stomachs empty and return filled in the evening!'

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.281         Narrated by Anas bin Malik

I heard Allah's Messenger (saws) saying, "whoever desires an expansion in his sustenance and age, should keep good relations with his kith and kin."

Some of the best supplications as taught by Allah and His Messenger (saws) if one wishes to increase ones provisions are as follows:

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 28 Surah Qasas verse 24:

24      Moses prayed : "O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou Dost send me!"...

Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.) related that a slave, who had agreed on terms of his freedom with his master, came to him and said, "I cannot pay my master as I agreed in the terms of freedom, so help me."  Hadrat Ali (r.a.) said to him, "Let me teach you the supplication that the Prophet (saws) taught me.  If you say it, Allah will cause your debt to be paid even if it be as great as a mountain.  Say, 'O Allah, make Your lawful bounties sufficient for me so as to save me from what is unlawful, and from Your grace grant me sufficient abundance to make me free from the need of all, except You'."

Reported by Tirmidhi.

In conclusion, My dear beloved brother, as believers we are commanded to shun all superstitions and beliefs of jadoo tona etc.. You are required to keep on doing your work with sincerity and InshaAllah when Allah swt wills, He will make your trials easy and give you success in the job you require.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is only ones. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
