Evil eye remedy cure.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Your forum is very helpful for finding answers and find right guidance. May Allah bless you and your mentors with best.
This is a question about evil eye presenting with a situation I encountered in my childhood. Once when I was 16-17 years old I was travelling with my father and my fathers brother. We stopped for a breakfast with my father, myself and my father's brother along. My father's brother is a relegious scholar. We met another aged scholar who came to share our table. He had chat with my father's brother and my father. Just after aquaintance and some chat, he said about me 'this boy is affected with evil eye, please recite Surah Burooj, after recitation blow with mouth air onto hand, and move it through your face'. At that time for some time I used to follow that (as he mentioned after Fajr). After I grown up when I started learning Islam myself, I didnt find such a thing in any of Prophet's(SAW) Sunnah I stopped doing that.
Now my doubt is whether is it right what is advised by the scholar?
And other question - There was a reason for my father to believe it. I was Alhamdulillah very smart at childhood, good at studies, well behaved(I know most of kids are, but behaviour was outstanding even academics was not top but brilliant I was). It must a little overboard my explanation is, but I suddenly a sort of become affected by some thing. I can't concentrate, can't do anything properly, broken I became. So my father was happy with the advise and induced me to follow it.
Is there some thing called evil eye? I know there is. But please explain me what and how it is? Help me with Sunnah how to protect myself from it. Also is there any harm if I follow advise of the scholar we met?
Help me with dua's to increase patience

Evil eye remedy cure
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.636 Narrated by Abu Huraira
The Prophet (saws) said, "The effect of an evil eye is a fact."
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 36 Narrated by Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: You may live for a long time after I am gone, Ruwayfi', so tell people that if anyone ties his beard, or wears round his neck a string to ward off the evil eye, or cleanses himself with animal dung or bone, Muhammad (saws) has nothing to do with him.
In the pre-Islamic days of ignorance, when the pagans amongst the Arabs feared the effects of an evil-eye, in their ignorance, they would perform many a rite and ritual to ward off its evil.like wear amulets, tie their beards, or wear a string around their neck, or cleanse themselves with animal dung or bones, etc. The Messenger of Allah (saws) absolutely and totally forbade the believers to perform such useless and unlawful acts to ward of the evil.and commanded the believers to simply recite the Muawwidaat (113th Surah Al-Falaq and the 114th Surah An-Naas), for that would more than suffice the believers.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1019 Narrated by AbuSa'id al-Khudri
The Prophet (saws) used to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye till Surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas (113th and 114th Surahs of the Quran) were revealed. After they were revealed he (saws) stuck to them and discarded everything beside them.
Thus all one needs to do when one fears the influence of the evil eye is seek the protection and refuge in Allah Subhanah Alone by being constant in ones recitation of the 113th and the 114th Surahs of the Holy Quran. It is expected that the Merciful Lord would protect him from all evil.
If one does any of the self-invented and useless rituals like revolving money around ones head seven times, or burn something, or revolve something, or burn chilies, or perform any other rite or ritual in their effort to ward off the effects of the evil-eye, then they would be held guilty in the Court of Allah Subhanah for following an innovation (bida) in the least, or following a rite of the pagans and committing an act of shirk at it worst!
If one fears the evil effects of the evil-eyes, all of is guided to do is recite the Muawidaat (113th Surah Al-Falaq and the 114th Surah An-Naas), for the seeking of protection in Allah Subhanah is more than sufficient to ward off any and all evil.
As beneficial and as meritorious as the recitation of any of the Surahs of the Glorious Quran may be, there is absolutely nothing in the authentic and established Sunnah whereby the Messenger of Allah (saws) prescribed the recitation of the Surah Al-Burooj to ward off the evil eye. To recite the Surah Burooj (or any other Surahs except Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Naas) with the intention to ward of the evil-eye would be against the Sunnah and Guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws).
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
