Can Syedna get entry to paradise?

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

It is a known truth in Bohra community that the priesthood and the leadership has led the flock away from the true path of Islam. So what should be done to rectify the situation - follow the lead of the tabilan, the Ayatollah in Iran or the Saudi Wahabi police state ? What should the Bohras stop doing - touching feet of mullahs, keeping photos of mullahs to kiss, performing big money salaams, having lavish meals in mosques, reserving seats in mosque in hierarchy, taking safai chitthi for small little things ? What would the royal Syedna and his fancy princes be required to do - give up their lavish palace, stop going for hunting safaris and staying in palatial homes, flying like a jet-setter in first class, digging graves of their enemies, ostracising people not kissing their feet, threatening people for money ? What would be enough for the Syedna to gain entry to heaven ? Thank you.

Answer:

Can Syedna get entry to paradise?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your question: So what should be done to rectify the situation - follow the lead of the tabilan, the Ayatollah in Iran or the Saudi Wahabi police state ?

To follow the True and Straight Path of Islam, one only needs to follow the guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger (saws). Leave alone everything else, and follow the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws), if indeed one wants to be guided aright.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Shura verse 52: And thus have We by Our command sent inspiration to thee (O Mohamed): thou knowest not (before) what was Revelation and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou (O Mohamed) dost guide (men) to the Straight Way.

Thus brother, Allah has not guided the believers in the Quran to follow the Talebaan, or the Ayatollah, or the Saudi Police, or the Duke of Wellington to be guided aright!!!! The Path shown by Allah Subhanah in the Quran is to follow the guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger (saws); if one indeed wishes to be guided aright.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 31-32:O Prophet, tell the people, If you sincerely love Allah, follow me. Then Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for He is All Forgiving, All Merciful. Also say to them, Obey Allah and His Messenger. And if, in spite of this, they do not accept your invitation, warn them that Allah does not love those, who refuse to obey Him and His Messenger.

Your question: What should the Bohras stop doing - touching feet of mullahs, keeping photos of mullahs to kiss, performing big money salaams, having lavish meals in mosques, reserving seats in mosque in hierarchy, taking safai chitthi for small little things ?

If one indeed wishes to be guided aright, they have to stop following the self-invented beliefs, self-made customs, and rites and rituals; and follow only what is commanded by Allah and His Messenger (saws)!

When Allah and His Messenger (saws) did not command the believers to touch the mullahs feet; or kiss the mullahs photos; or perform big-money salaams to some self-made priest; or have a feast in mosques; or reserve seating in mosques by hierarchy or take safai-chitthi..leave it alone!

Obey Allah and His Messenger (saws) and be guided aright; or obey the self-made taghuts and be led astray!!! That is the decision each individual will have to make for himself.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 13:Then, instead of Allah, he invokes those who can do him neither harm nor good. This is the last extremity of deviation. He invokes those who are more likely to do him harm, than good! What an evil Maula he chooses, and what an evil companion.

Your question: What would the royal Syedna and his fancy princes be required to do - give up their lavish palace, stop going for hunting safaris and staying in palatial homes, flying like a jet-setter in first class, digging graves of their enemies, ostracising people not kissing their feet, threatening people for money ?

The Royal Syedna and his entourage are as human as the rest of mankind; and if they wish to be guided aright, they too will have to follow the clear guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger (saws).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verses 34-35 :O you who believe! There are indeed many among the priests and the holy men who devour the wealth of others by evil means, and debar the people from the Way of Allah. Give them the good news of a painful torment, who hoard up gold and silver and do not expend these in the Way of Allah. The Day shall surely come when the same gold and silver shall be heated in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their bodies and their backs. (And it will be said): Here is that treasure you had hoarded up for yourselves! Taste now the evil of your hoarded treasure!

Your question: What would be enough for the Syedna to gain entry to heaven ?

Like the rest of the human race, he too would have to worship Allah Subhanah Alone, obey and follow the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and do righteous good deeds in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah; that path alone leads to the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allah Subhanah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 57 Surah Hadeed verse 28: O ye that believe! Fear Allah, and believe in His Messenger; and He will bestow on you a double portion of His Mercy: He will provide for you a Light by which ye shall walk (straight in your path), and He will forgive you (your past): For Allah is Oft-Forgiving. Most Merciful:

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 29 Surah Ankabut verses 57-58:

57 Every soul shall have a taste of death: in the end to Us shall ye be brought back.

58 But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, to them shall We give a Home in Heavens; lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers--to dwell therein for aye; an excellent reward for those who do (good)!

But if the Syedna persists in the practice and propagation of shirk, he should know that the only sin Allah Subhanah has promised never to forgive is this one heinous sin of shirk! He might, if He wills, forgive all sins; except this one sin of shirk!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72:Whoever commits shirk (invoking anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help.

Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48:Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
