Answer:

Repeat Tasbih

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: I read in some book that messenger(SAWS) said that whoever says "la ilaha illa allahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeerun". 100 times will get reward of manumitting ten slaves 100 good deed, sins will be added and remitted. it will be a shield from satan from that day till night.

Q. is this true ?

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.514 Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "If one says one-hundred times in one day: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)", one will get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, and one-hundred good deeds will be written in his account, and one-hundred bad deeds will be wiped off or erased from his account, and on that day he will be protected from the morning till evening from the Shaytaan, and nobody will be superior to him except one who has done more than that which he has done."

Beloved brother, the hadith you have quoted is indeed recorded in the authentic books of ahaadeeth and its content is absolutely true, for the Messenger of Allah (saws) spoke nothing but the Truth.

Your Question: what is the reward of manumitting a slave?

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 90 Surah Al-Balad verses 12-18:

12 And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?

13 (It is:) freeing the bondman (slave);

14 Or the giving of food in a day of privation

15 To the orphan with claims of relationship

16 Or to the indigent (down) in the dust.

17 Then will he be of those who believe and enjoin patience (constancy and self-restraint) and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion.

18 Such are the Companions of the Right Hand.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.706 Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet (saws) said, "If somebody manumits a believing slave, Allah will save from the Fire every part of his body for freeing the corresponding parts of the slave's body, even his private parts will be saved from the Fire because of freeing the slave's private parts."

Your Question: instead of 100 times if i say 200 times will the reward get mutiplied *2?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisa verse 79-80:

We have sent you (O Mohamed) as a Messenger to mankind, and Allah’s witness suffices for this. Whoever obeys the Messenger, in fact obeys Allah, and whoever turns away from him, he will be accountable for his deeds. Anyhow, we have not sent you (O Mohamed) to be a guardian over them.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 31-32:

O Prophet, tell the people, “If you sincerely love Allah, follow me. Then Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for He is All Forgiving, All Merciful.” Also say to them, “Obey Allah and His Messenger.” And if, in spite of this, they do not accept your invitation, warn them that Allah does not love those, who refuse to obey Him and His Messenger.

Beloved brother, when the Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the believers on any aspect of the deen, then it becomes incumbent upon the believers to obey and accept exactly what is declared by the Messenger of Allah (saws). When the Messenger of Allah (saws) has given a specific number, then we should know and believe that it is this number of repetitions alone that is acceptable and best in the Sight of Allah Subhanah; and when the Messenger of Allah (saws) has not given a specific number, then we should not invent or allocate a specific number towards that repetition.

Obedience and submission in Islam would be to follow the exact guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws); and when the Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the believers towards the rewards of repeating a phrase a 100 hundred times, then one should not repeat the phrase more than a hundred times in one sitting.

Your Question: should we do ablution before doing tasbeehas etc ex. like before saying the above quoted dua should we do wodhu(ablution) ?

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 6:

6 O ye who believe! When ye prepare for prayer wash your faces and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles.

Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 725 Narrated byAbdullah ibn Abbas

The Messenger of Allah (saws) came out of the privy, and he (saws) was presented with some food, and the people reminded him about ablution, but he (saws) said: ‘Am I to say prayer that I should perform ablution?’

The ablution (wudu) is an obligatory pre-condition for those who wish to perform their prayers. There is absolutely no condition in the Shariah that one must be in the state of ablution to Remember, Praise, or Glorify their Lord or make supplication; for one does ablution there is no harm, but it is not a condition nor a requirement for remembrance of the Lord nor making supplications.

Your Question: the prophet (SAWS) said "whoever says {subhana allahi wa bihamdihi} 100 times a day ,will be forgiven all his sins even if it be like foam on sea"

Q.is this true?

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.414 Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and to Him be all Praise' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea."

The hadith you have quoted is indeed recorded in the authentic books of ahaadeeth and its content is absolutely true, for the Messenger of Allah (saws) spoke nothing but the Truth.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
