Answer:

Father not permitting wife to stay with husband

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Beloved Brother, first and foremost it is not the prescribed duty nor the responsibility of the wife of the son to serve the father of her husband; that supreme duty and responsibility has been laid solely upon the son in Islam. If, of her own free will, the wife of the son does serve the father of her husband, she will be considered doing ehsaan or something over and above her prescribed duties, and the husband must be sincerely grateful and thankful to her.

The father of the husband does not have a right in Shariah Law to disallow the wife of his son to live away from her husband. If the father or parents of the son are aged, it is the responsibility and the duty of the son to make sure that they are honored, served, and absolutely satisfied with the care offered to them by their children.

Your Question: pls tell me slution

Dear and beloved brother in Islam, in light of the case related by you, you have two legal and permissible options:

  1. You leave your job in Kuwait and move back to Pakistan, where you will be able to serve your father in his years of need.
  2. If your father is in agreement and if possible, bring both your father and your wife to Kuwait. That way, not only will you be able to serve your father, but your wife will be able to stay with you.

But as the situation stands whereby you are separated from your father and your wife, neither are you able to serve your father, nor are you able to give your wife her due rights in marriage. The only just and lasting solution is that you find a way to make sure that not only are you able to serve your father in his years of need, but are able to give your wife her due and full rights in marriage; and that can only happen if either you move back to Pakistan or if your father agrees, invite him and your wife to come live with you in Kuwait.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
